I have been using Herome for years and years. I like the Red (Extra Strong) best. I wash dishes and clean house and still have nice nails. My manicure routine which I have perfected over the years is simple. I actually do not follow the Herome instructions but do my own simply because I am a busy working mum and once a week is about it for manicure time. So....do the following and I believe you too will have fantastic nails.
Once per week ...I do every Sunday around 4pm - grab a drink, a DVD or book and have some 'me' time ........ so again ONCE only per week. Remove the last weeks nail polish/herome. Then apply TWO coats (definately TWO not just one) of the Herome making sure you let it dry between coats (approx 15 minutues). Thats it !
A special tip: when you apply the Herome make sure you paint on the sides of your nails....this is where you need the strength.
If you want nail polish as well then complete the manicure with 2 coats of your favourite color. Herome is a fantastic base coat - and my nail polish will last the week. might need a touch up on the tips depending on my activities.
Your nails will improve with hardness very quickly - however you must use the Herome each week to maintain the hardness through all your nail. Until your nail has grown fully (from cuticle to tip) you will still experience some breakages, weakness and flaking.
The down side of hard nails is that when they break (because you do something quite rough to them) they really do break. Oh and I actually use a foot pedicure file (fine side) on my nails because I am too impatient to use a normal emery board to shape my nails (again only once per week)
A final word - it might sound expensive for a little bottle but one bottle will last months.
