How Fefol can help if you are planning a baby -
Fefol provides two of the most important nutrients for you and your baby, Folic Acid and Iron - in a simple convenient one-a-day capsule. Fefol capsules contain small pellets with a special delayed release mechanism to reduce the likelihood of nausea and constipation - problems that can occasionally occur with some other iron supplements.

Please note that a minimum of 400-500 mcg of folic acid per day is recommended by the National health and Medical Research Council. As Fefol provides 300 mcg of folic acid, you'll need to ensure your diet contains the 100-200 mcg difference.

When should I start taking Fefol?
You should start taking Fefol at least a month before you become pregnant. Because it is difficult to tell exactly when you will conceive many doctors and health professionals recommend you start taking folic acid from the time you stop using contraception. You should continue to take Fefol for at least the first three months of pregnancy, and preferable for your entire pregnancy and during breast-feeding to ensure adequate Iron intake. As well as taking Fefol it is important to eat a balanced diet and increase the amount of protein and calcium rich foods you eat.
