Oraplex Cold Sore Relief is a high potency formula that aids in the relief of cold sore symptoms. It works from the inside of the body to help accelerate the body's healing process.
Each Oraplex Cold Sore Relief tablet contains lysine hydrochloride 500mg, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 250mg and zinc amino acid chelate 50mg (equivalent to 10mg elemental zinc).
Each active ingredient has an important role in preventing and treating cold sores outbreaks. Lysine is an essential amino acid that reduces the multiplication of the cold sore virus (herpes simplex). Vitamin C boosts the immune system to fight the cold sore virus. Zinc assists in the healing of cold sore lesions and improves the body's resistance to the virus.
Oraplex Cold Sore Relief is best taken at the first sign of a cold sore (eg. tingling, swelling or itching) to provide relief from the discomfort and reduce the severity of symptoms.
For acute outbreaks of cold sores, take one tablet three times a day. For prevention, take one tablet daily. Oraplex Cold Sore Relief tablets are suitable for adults and children over 12 years.
