How it works
A healthy immune system is far less susceptible to infection and better able to deal with infections when they do occur. The nutrients contained in this formula help to support immune function, maintain healthy mucous membranes, and so reduce the risk of infections. This is particularly important with the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract - the nose, throat and lungs.

Vitamin C is important in immunity as it is involved in the function of white blood cells and antibodies. It is also an important antioxidant.

Vitamin A is essential for the maintenance of healthy mucous membranes such as in the digestive tract and respiratory tracts, and for maintenance of a healthy immune system.

Zinc is important for the proper functioning of the immune system, in wound healing, and in the maintenance of healthy skin.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant vitamin that helps to reduce the risk of infection.

Dosage
Children 4 years and over - Chew (do not swallow whole) 1 tablet 1 to 2 times a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed.

Not suitable for children under 4 years.

Zinc oxide (Zinc 4 mg) 5 mg


Medicine interactions
Zinc, calcium and magnesium may decrease the absorption and efficacy of some medications. If taking tetracyclines or quinolone antiobiotics separate doses by at least 2 hours.
