Womens Health: Women taking oral contraceptives have lower levels of CoEnzyme Q10 and Vitamin E, and could possibly benefit from supplementation.
Heart/Circulation: CoEnzyme Q10 is a powerful free radical scavenger that may assist in maintaining peripheral circulation and inhibits oxidation of LDL (bad) cholesterol. If you are taking a cholesterol lowering medication (statin) you might consider also taking CoEnzyme Q10. Cholesterol lowering medications can reduce the levels of CoEnzyme Q10 and supplementation is recommended to maintain energy levels.
