Ingredients:

Directions:

Caralluma fimbriata has been used in Western India for centuries as a famine food, appetite suppressant and thirst quencher among the tribal population there. The people within the tribe would chew chunks of the plant to suppress hunger and thirst during hunting expeditions. In parts of semi rural and urban South India, laborers chew its stalks before undertaking the day’s labors to enhance endurance. In drought prone parts of India it is well known as a famine food where the plant is commonly used as a vegetable. It is also eaten raw for its tonic properties.
Caralluma fimbriata has been researched extensively for its appetite suppressing properties. To date, there have already been 2 clinical studies completed overseas and an Australian clinical study at Victoria University that was scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2010.
Preliminary scientific studies have found that Caralluma may exert appetite suppressing effects by enhancing satiety communication from the gut to the brain (through the hormone Leptin). It has been proposed that Leptin is involved in regulating perception of satiety and it is through this mechanism that Caralluma is thought to assert its appetite suppressing effects.
