Desitin Rapid Relief Nappy Rash Ointment is hypoallergenic and creates a protective barrier to help soothing and healing start immediately.
Desitin Rapid Relief contains 40% Zinc Oxide in a soothing base of Cod Liver Oil rich in Vitamins A & D to help prevent and treat nappy rash. Desitin Rapid Relief works in 3 ways;
- Forming a thick protective layer on the skin
- Blocking out wetness and irritants
- Protecting and soothing ittitated skin, allowing it to heal naturally

Treating Nappy Rash
- Clean: Use mild cloth wipes. We recommend Johnson's Baby Skincare Wipes.
- Dry: The key to healing nappy rash is keeping your baby's skin as clean and dry as possible. We recommend Johnson's Baby Cornstarch Powder.
- Apply: Apply a thick layer of Desitin Rapid Relief at every nappy change until symptoms have disappeared.

Effective for normal rash
I received it first in my maternity bag from the hospital, I didn't liked the smell but it is thick and covers the skin well, healing time is not very quick but provided protection from nappy rash. If you are looking for a quick fix than it is not recommended other than that not bad.

Magic in a tube
This stuff is magic!! My daughter had terrible nappy rash for over a month I tried every cream under the sun to get rid of it and they all seemed to make it worse until I found desitin I applied it only 1 time and straight away my daughter Could finally get some relief and at the next nappy change which was no longer than an hour later I was absolutely shocked and so relieved her nappy rash had completely healed. So I apply every nappy change as a barrier cream and she has never had nappy rash again and this is almost 2 years later. I buy at least 4 tubes a month! I love it thankyou

It stays on the skin.
It is thick and can be hard to put on when your baby bum is wet. Just a little dots and keep smearing it on the bum, and it stays there until the next nappy change. Happy with this product.

This works wonders in clearing up baby’s bum rash! Cleared it up super fast. Wouldn’t go anywhere without a tube in the nappy bag just in case. Doesn’t stink either, which is a fantastic plus.

Good product, mostly effective
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had 2 kids with nappy rash. It worked brilliantly on one, cleared up within a couple of days, when nothing else seemed to be doing the trick. My other son it didn't work for, but all skin is different & reacts differently... his is really sensitive to what is used. Would absolutely use this product again on my first son :)

Why the fishy smell?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed when using desitin was an unpleasant fishy smell (likely due to cod liver oil) in the formulation which they have tried masking with fragrance but it’s nowhere near masked. Spreading was easy and leaves a barrier layer against things causing nappy rash. Effective in treating chafing from edges of nappy tabs and mild rash. For me, the smell was most off putting part about it and made me want to not use it.

Pleasantly Surprised!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't think Desitin Nappy Rash Ointment could possibly compare to the other nappy rash cream that I currently use, however I was pleasantly surprised! I was very impressed with the coverage and texture of the Desitin Ointment; only a small amount is needed to cover a large area. It has full coverage without being thick and sticky like some other brands. I will definitely buy Desitin Nappy Rash Ointment again in the future, and recommended it as a very effective nappy rash treatment.
