Rated 4 out of 5 by from decent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo does a decent job. It's not the best I've ever tried but it gets the job done. I really like the smell, it smells really fresh and clean. I don't find that it dries my hair out too much but it definitely needs conditioner afterwards to keep my hair from being frizzy. For the price, it's worth trying, but I definitely think that the other types of shampoos that palmolive offers are better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautorium samples [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received samples of Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo with my Beautorium orders. Before I switched to sulphate-free shampoos, I used to occasionally buy this shampoo in its previous formulation, and I really liked it. The reformulated version of this shampoo is good for such a budget price, but its formula doesn’t suit my hair now. My hair has become much more dry. Also, since I grew my hair long, it has become very prone to tangles. After using this shampoo, my hair felt drier and a bit knottier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good daily shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I saw all of these Palmolive shampoo, I got really excited, I wanted all of them! I hadn't tried this one before. It smells really lovely and refreshing. I can smell the fruitiness. When I use this shampoo, it doesn't overstrip my hair's oils but it does do a good clean so I can recommend people to use this on a daily basis. It's great for every member of the family!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Average - Beautorium Sample 2016 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of this Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo & Conditioner in my last Beautorium purchase from BH. I was definitely was not impressed by this sample of shampoo & conditioner. I can't say I use a lot of Palmolive products, but the ones I have used in the past usually have a really appealing aroma. This however, did not have an appealing aroma, in fact, I couldn't smell anything, neither good nor bad. I know that this is a direct contradiction to everyone else... Nevertheless, I do agree with everyone who said that their hair felt drier after they used it. I noticed that I had to use more almond oil than I usually do after I used the shampoo & conditioner. The results were very unimpressive, I definitely won't be buying it again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautorium sample shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sachet sample with my beautorium order together with the conditioner. This shampoo wasn't for me. It was very heavily scented which I didn't like and contained too many chemicals for me personally. I prefer to use products which use more natural based ingredients. My hair felt quite dry after using this shampoo. I have coloured blonde hair so not sure if the range for coloured hair would better suit my hair. Not a product I would purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Scent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My partner bought this I think because it was half price so I thought I'd give it a go though it's not my usual brand. The first thing I noticed was the lovely scent - it smells fruity maybe like apples. I found that it lathered pretty well and was easy to smooth over my hair. It cleaned well without stripping my hair of natural oils. I still had some flyaways after but not as much as when I use another brand which is specifically for damaged hair so that was a bonus. It was easy to style too. Overall I liked this brand and for just over $2 it was great value too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lovely smell [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a couple of samples of this with my latest Beautorium order and was impressed firstly with the sample size (especially for shorter hair). Love getting free samples to try! The smell was the next thing I noticed - lovely & fresh & fruity. The product was easy to apply and my hair felt clean and fresh afterwards. Nothing bad to say about this product at all

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Simple shampoo that didn't irritate my scalp but didn't stop the frizz [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of this product from the recent Beautorium. It gave me two days' worth of a trial - which probably isn't long enough. I noticed that the smell is lovely and pleasant. It is definitely and aloe vera herbal scent, but subtly fruity as well. It isn't overpowering and won't clash with your perfume. It was easy to apply - not to thick, and not too thin. It stayed on my hand when I went to apply it to my hair. It was also easy to rinse out. Unfortunately I noticed that it didn't control the frizz that my very fine, long hair gets, that my usual shampoo is able to control. That was despite using another hair product that usually works beautifully. The ends of my hair didn't feel as nourished either. But the good news is that my scalp wasn't irritated, and I didn't get any flaky skin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smells great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i love the smell of this shampoo and just like the conditioner i found it suitable for my hair. the packaging is nice and bright and the instructions easy to follow. i wash my hair every 3-4 days using this product as it seems to leave my hair fresh and clean for days.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tried and tested [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate to sample this one with a Beautyheaven purchase. This shampoo wasn't really for me. I will say that my hair felt clean after using which was good. Also I like the scent... It reminds me of the smell of citrus fruit tree flower. Also consistency is good - not too runny so it's easy to use. Plus you don't need to use lots - it lathers well. But, unfortunately my hair felt quite dry after using. I'm putting this down to the fact that I have bleached blonde hair which tends to dry and frizz if I don't use a really moisturizing hair shampoo and conditioner. So I don't think this one is for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very "male friendly", nice fresh scent and no irritations for my hubby [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of this in my Beautorium order and also I happened to have some more samples from a pharmacy order so instructed hubby to trial it for me for a week (as I cannot use sulphate based shampoo due to a Cureplex treatment). He washes his hair daily and is prone to an itchy scalp if we don't use the right products. The scents is lovely, very fresh and botanical - not overpowering or girly so he was quite happy to use it. It lathers well, only a small amount is needed to effectively wash his hair - which can get quite oily and sweaty as he works out. After rinsing his hair was clean but not squeaky clean or stripped, it felt soft and clean and smelt very fresh! He followed with the conditioner and was very happy with the results and said he would purchase again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautorium sample [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually use a specialist blonde shampoo but got this sample and thought I would give it a go. I found the scent strong, however it was not unpleasant to me, just fruity, some people may not like this though. I found there was decent lather for my hair length which is shoulder length, and I am assuming there was about a 20c piece size per sachet. Hair felt clean after lathering and rinsing twice. Benefits would be being able to purchase this with the weekly shop, possibly great for families with out particular hair concerns. I used this in conjunction with the matching conditioner- conditioner review separate.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Ingredients, Bit Drying [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a nice gift from bh with my beautorium haul. It came in a sample satchet split in two for what I assume would be two uses. The scent was quite strong but pretty. Very Fruity. The shampoo didn't lather very well for me and I could immediately feel even before drying that my hair felt more brittle and basically stripped of all natural oils. Definitely a deep cleaning shampoo and maybe not as natural as the packaging suggests. When dry my hair was nicely scented but felt a lot stiffer and less moisturized and soft than usual. I love that aloe vera is in the ingredients and the scent is amazing but my hair needs a gentler, less stripping shampoo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft and silky results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you BH for this bonus item at Beautorium and is a review for the "Normal " hair shampoo. I am unfamiliar with what Aloe Vera smells like, but I do know that it smells refreshingly fruity which I like in shampoos. I have normal hair with dry ends and this was a perfect shampoo for me without being too harsh . In fact , I found it surprisingly quite a silky texture and did justice by massaging through my scalp and left me with soft silky clean hair after the final rinse . I would not recommend it for oily hair as I think it has good moisturising content that might drag it down a bit . Otherwise I think it would be great for normal-dry hair types and will do well if used in conjunction with the conditioner .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautorium April 2016 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this with my Beautorium haul (a sachet of the shampoo and one of the matching conditioner). I don't use Palmolive normally as I find lots of 'supermarket' shampoos leave my hair very heavy. This shampoo smelt beautiful- I loved the scent. I didn't need to use much (and I have long hair). My hair definitely felt clean and soft afterwards and it was easy to brush. It probably got a little oilier quicker than normal. It is a very inexpensive shampoo that does what it says. However I will probably stick to my usual shampoo :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good general shampoo though not exactly natural [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The use of the word “Naturals” in the name of this shampoo is something of a misnomer. It’s no more natural than any supermarket brand and contains quite a few ingredients like ammonium laurel sulphate (ingredient #1), water insoluble silicones, and synthetic perfumes that are decidedly unnatural. That said, it’s a reasonably good overall product if you’re looking for a readily available budget priced daily shampoo and aren’t too fussed about avoiding SLSs, DEAs, and other chemicals (I do make an effort to at least minimise them, because they’re in so many products that the collective use could be quite high). The shampoo does actually contain some nice ingredients too like Ginseng Root Extract, Milk, and Cocos Nucifera Oil (cocoa butter?), and it does do a good job (on my dry hair at least) of leaving it clean, reasonably conditioned (when used with the conditioner), and not too frizzy. I find the scent a bit strong for my liking like fruity gum (juicy fruit?), but the scent doesn’t linger and is gone by the time your hair is dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural & Nice [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks BH for the opportunity to trial this shampoo from my Beautorium haul. The sachet of shampoo was well thought out, as I have short, fairly straight hair it allowed me to use one section for one use then the other section for the next use, so no mess like most sachets. The picture of the bottle on the sachet is green and I love green, it’s so refreshing and natural, hence the “naturals” name for the product. I would purchase this shampoo for so many reasons: the scent is not overpowering, very light and beautiful, the lather is superb, leaves my hair feeling very clean. A little bit goes a very long way and very affordable. There are other variations of the “naturals” range, this one contains Aloe Vera and fruit vitamins and is for a normal hair type but I would love to try the colour protection and damage repair from this range.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't wow me - April Beautorium Sample [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Beautyheaven for including a sample of the Palmolive shampoo in my April Beautorium order. I've never used Palmolive hair products before, I don't know why but I've always associated Palmolive with dish washing detergent and hand washes, so I was a bit curious on how they would perform. My hair is long, fine and lacks volume, but in reasonable shape. I don't colour my hair and it's not too bad in terms of heat damage. The Palmolive shampoo had a pleasant fragrance, but I found the first round of shampooing, it didn't really lather up and I had to wash my hair twice to get that nice build up of lather and bubbles. So I didn't feel my hair got a good clean on the first wash. It's a bit hard to comment on any long term benefits after two uses but it works ok as a shampoo but it didn't really blow my socks off. It was nicely fragranced and I had no issues with an itchy scalp after using it. It's probably not something I would buy again but I'm happy I was able to try it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent value for money [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a couple of sachets of Palmolive Active Nourishment Shampoo/Conditioner with my Beautorium haul. This is with Aloe Vera & Fruit Vitamins and it is for Normal Hair. I have dry hair and I thought this would be a winner. Sadly for me this didn't do it The shampoo didn't lather enough for me, (I have short hair) the conditioner I found much better. It did leave my hair feeling clean, but dry on the ends. I did like the lingering fragrance of freshness. I am a lover of Palmolive products, whether it's shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap etc. This one I won't purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely, fresh scent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this in my 2016 beautirium haul as a sample. I do not usually like Palmolive hair products but was pleasantly surprised by this sample! The scent once my hair dried was subtle and pleasant, though it didn't last that long. The formula is not too runny and is a pearly colour. It lathered quite well and the conditioner was a bit thicker and easily rinsed out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Suitable for my whole family. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tend to use a Colour Protect Shampoo as I colour my hair regularly but received a sample of this particular Palmolive Shampoo and Conditioner in my Beautorium April 2016 Order. The shampoo is pearlised with a pleasant fruity fragrance which is quite mild. It doesn't have a really thick consistency like some other pearlised shampoos but still it foams up relatively well and not much is required. It rinses out thoroughly and quickly with water leaving my hair smelling fresh and feeling clean. My hair feels soft and smooth unlike some really poor quality shampoos that I have tried which leave my hair feeling course and dry. Though I didn't really notice that this product imparts much shine, the next day my hair felt light, soft and fluffy as if I'd used a volumising shampoo. This is an important end result for me because my hair is thinning. So overall I'd rate this product a good family shampoo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Leaves hair clean but not stripped [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a free sample of this shampoo and the matching conditioner as part of my Beautorium haul. I must confess that I don't usually look at Palmolive products when shopping for hair products. I will be looking into products from this brand now since this line has impressed me so far! The shampoo is a creamy consistency with a mild, fruity scent. A little goes a long way with this shampoo - just a 20c sized amount will lather up a storm! My hair feels clean but not dried out or coarse. Instead, my hair feels soft and smooth and I believe it has helped a bit with my frizziness/crazy baby hairs. The only potential negative I could see from the 3 uses I got out of this sample is that the shampoo may be too gentle if you use a lot of hair product on a regular basis. I found that I needed to use a harsher/clarifying shampoo in between the second and third uses to get my hair completely clean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Softer hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of this in the recent Beautorium haul. I have tried a few Palmolive shampoos in the past and found this one to be very similar in terms of the texture/consistency. This Active Nourishment shampoo which comes in the green bottle has a really nice creamy, silky and slightly slippery texture and nice fresh aloe slightly fruity scent. It lathers up really well into a creamy foam and washes out with ease. My hair doesn't feel dry after rinsing out, on the contrary, it almost leaves a bit of a protective film. Those with oily hair/roots may not appreciate this slightly greasy feeling but for my dry/damaged hair, I find it more nourishing than greasy. After drying my hair, I'm left with a lingering fresh scent and the next day I noticed that my hair felt smoother and softer. I'm pretty happy with it but I think I will need to use this for a good few weeks to see if this is really a good shampoo for me in the long run. I am keen to buy this next time I'm in need of a new shampoo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice scent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Bh, I received this shampoo and conditioner with my beautorium order. It was a welcome surprise. I have fine hair with slightly oily roots, so was dubious about trying this, but decided to give it a go, as I liked the sound of some of the ingredients in it. Eg. Keratin, Argan oil and Shea butter extracts. It professed to penetrate and nourish the hair strands, which after using, I believe it did. I actually used it 4 times and felt very pleased with how it cleaned and conditioned my hair. It left my hair clean, smooth and in good condition. I usually try to use a shampoo more suited to my hair type, but felt this normal formula, tackled the job exceptionally well. It would be interest to try one designed for my hair type. The price is so reasonable, I'm going to check out the other types and give it a try. I loved the great subtle fruity scent too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Grease in a bottle! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really want to like this, because I'm a fan of the Palmolive brand in general, but after using it for 2 weeks I have had to come to terms with the fact that this shampoo just does NOT work for me. It could be my naturally oily hair type, but this shampoo seemed to worsen the problem, leaving my hair greasy and lank. I could forgive this feeling if my hair felt nourished (like after using a Moroccan oil mask: greasy, but oh-so-lovely) but my hair actually felt dry as well. Dry, greasy hair is not a good look. The conditioner works alright, but is a very average products. I have come to the conclusion that my salon-dyed blonde hair is probably in need of REAL nourishment in the form of organic products (think Lush or Sukin.) While it may work on another woman's hair, something about the chemical composition or the consistency of the shampoo is not making babies with my hair! As a positive, the amount of product is good value for the price. For the sake of not being wasteful I feel obliged to use the rest of the shampoo and conditioner before trial-testing another. If only, they actually worked for me!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent shampoo that's easily accessible. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a bit of a hair care snob, but having received a sample of this shampoo in my Beautorium order, I was happy to try it. While I won't be running out to purchase the full size product, this is one of a few types of shampoo I would purchase if I was on holiday and just wanted something cheap and easily accessible. As a short-term use shampoo, the price is good and I wouldn't feel too bad about not using up the whole bottle. A few washes here and there with this shampoo isn't going to do anything amazing for my hair, but it's not going to ruin it either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Affordable, pleasant shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this shampoo as part of my Beautorium booty. Don't usually use Palmolive but it was surprisingly good. Leaves hair with silky smooth texture and well nourished and moisturised for the day ahead. Only need a small amount to achieve this result.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great affordable shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of this shampoo in the last Beautorium and when I read that it contains aloe vera I could hardly wait to try it. I have thick and frizz prone hair, so not every shampoo will suit and will feel good when used. I really liked how this shampoo felt as I worked it through my hair. It was gentle, but cleaned my hair really well. A small amount seems to go a long way, which is great with my thick hair as it tends to need lots of shampoo to cover it all. It has a lovely soft, fruity smell, which I really enjoyed. Given the price for a full bottle, I think this could be a great affordable shampoo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend for Fine Hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect for my hair type. Received this in the BH as a sample and have been super surprised as to how good this inexpensive product is. The scent was light and refreshing and left my hair smelling lovely all day. Often I have issues with greasy formulas or too much product but this product left my hair feeling clean, crisp and lovely. As well, I found a little goes along way so I was able to use the sample size for an entire week, so with this product less is more. Hair type is fine/straight-dark brunette. Will definitely be purchasing a full bottle of this soon!
