Rated 5 out of 5 by BusyMum9 from Lifesaver for busy mum I was a bit skeptical about using an electric breast pump, but the Philips Avent Electric Breast Pump has been a lifesaver for me as a busy breastfeeding mum of a toddler! The pump is so easy to use and comfortable, and I love that it gently adapts to my nipple size and shape. The suction is perfect - not too strong, not too weak. I've been able to express milk quickly and efficiently, which has been a huge relief. The pump is also quiet and discreet, which is great for expressing at home or on-the-go. Overall, I'm so impressed with this pump and would highly recommend it to any breastfeeding mum!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Not my first rodeo from Exclusive pumping mum says no I won this from a raffle (company didn't send it to me like other reviewers) and it's so much smaller than my spectra I really really wanted to make it work since I travel so much. I gave it multiple tries over several months before giving up. If I could give it negative stars I would. Unless you are only using it once in a blue moon AND got it 70% off or something, go and buy a spectra cause this is a waste of money and will trash your supply. If Avent sold formula I'd honestly think it was deliberate. The raffle I won it in was a multiple birth society one too, so I'm glad it came to me rather than some first time mum who will use it and end up thinking their supply is crap rather than this useless pump. The suction is fine, the issue is the single speed setting, it's not long enough to pull milk out efficiently. It's like leaving my spectra on letdown mode. I can hand express more milk in the same amount of time.

It has multiple nipple pressure settings for pumping into the bottle and the express setting to get the milk flowing before bubba latches on. Only drawback is that doesn’t work handsfree, you have to hold the pump throughout the process. One thing I noticed is the pressure works better if you remove the silicone pad on the nipple attachment.Also recommend buying a couple bottles separately as this comes with one bottle.

I love the packable design, lightweight feel, and comfortable fit. I'm a new mom with a 6-month-old and I typically breastfeed. However, I pump to have milk on hand for babysitters and mixing with purees. The longer I have been breastfeeding, though, the more challenging it has become to pump enough milk to make a bottle. I've been struggling with my letdown as my body has gotten accustomed to just responding to my baby. However, the first time I used this pump I had a productive pumping session! My favorite aspect of this pump is the silicone cushion because it has a very natural and comfortable feel, which I think helped me express more effectively. I didn't feel any rubbing or irritation while pumping, even on the first try! My only complaint has to do with the amount of parts involved.

It works well at the beginning but until recently I found the motor started having some funny noise when it pumps. Tried to find a repair contact from this website but couldn’t. Hope someone will see my comments and reply my message.

On top of the nipple trauma that it has caused for me ( because the nipple cushion is not suitable in size which means it's not suitable for all sizes as advertised on the box), it does not pump the milk unless I push on my breast with my arms which has caused extra pain for me, it also does not pump ALL the milk out. I am very disappointed and upset because I hoped it will help me increase my milk supply.
