Gentle and hydratingI have combination/dry skin so I tend to stick with cream, balm or oil cleansers so I was interested to find out how this CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser would work for me. I like that the cleanser is fragrance free and contains ceramides, amino acids and hyaluronic acid.
I prefer to gently rub the cream to a foam in my hands before applying to my face. The cleanser easily dissolves any makeup or dirt leaving my skin feeling soft and well hydrated without any tightness. I don’t wear heavy makeup, and I always double cleanse, but even though this cleanser feels hydrating I prefer to use this product for the first cleanse and use my other cleansers for the second cleanse.

Works well but can be dryingI purchased the CeraVe Hydrating Cream to Foam Cleanser after using the original CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser religiously. I find that the Cream to Foam was better at removing dirt, makeup and sunscreen from my face, making my face feel super clean. I have noticed that my skin can feel tight and dry after using this product so I decided to start using it once daily, followed by the original hydrating cream cleanser. I would definitely recommend this product as it is effective and isn’t pricey. It is definitely a must have in your skincare routine!

Great cleanserThe CeraVe hydrating cream to foam cleanser is exactly as it sounds. It is a hydrating face wash that lathers really nicely ensuring you're left with clean skin that still feels moisturised. You don't have to use much of the product and it helps to remove sunscreen, makeup and excess oils. Once I rinse it off my face feels clean and balanced. While my skin isn't normally dry I find that it still works well for my skin type. I believe this cleanser would work well for all skin types. It has no discernible scent and it didn't cause any irritation so it might be suitable for those who have sensitive skin.

Cleanses well with delicate latherHaving used Cerave's hydrating cleanser and foaming cleanser and liking both, I was excited to use this newer release because it seemed like a combination of the two - hydrating like the hydrating cleanser, yet still has a lather like the foaming cleanser. I was not disappointed. For reference, I have combination skin that is prone to dehydration and yet can be oily at times.
The cleanser comes in a pump bottle like Cerave's other cleansers, which is really convenient to use in the shower. It has a milky texture which is pleasant to massage onto the skin. With the addition of water, it transforms to a very light and soft foam and rinses clean without being stripping. It doesn't leave my face with a film like some hydrating cream cleansers do, but also doesn't leave my face feeling tight after rinsing like some foaming cleansers.
I feel that this is a time-saving cleanser for those who wear water resistant sunscreen or light make-up, as you can avoid double cleansing. It works well to remove light make-up but I wouldn't rely on it to take off heavy waterproof eyeliner and mascara.
Cerave's cleansers are reasonably priced, this one is around $20+ for a 236ml bottle.

Best of both worldsIf you're familiar with Cerave's hydrating cleanser and foaming cleanser, this
cream-to-foam cleanser is the best of both worlds - it is as hydrating as the hydrating cleanser, but still has a gentle foam. It is the only cleanser that Cerave markets as 'removes makeup'.
It goes on almost milky, and is great with massaging away light make-up and sunscreen. As you work it on damp skin, it transforms to a very light and soft foam and rinses clean without being stripping. For me (normal to combo dehydrated skin) it hits the sweet spot - doesn't leave my face with a slightly oily film but also doesn't leave my face feeling tight after rinsing. It works well to remove light make-up but I wouldn't rely on it to take off heavy waterproof eyeliner and mascara.
This cleanser is more expensive than Cerave's hydrating cleanser and foaming cleanser, but it does feel a little more luxurious and I feel that it's worth it. It's still very reasonably priced around $20+ as it comes in a 236ml bottle.
Note that my bottle is made in France and this review is based on that. I have heard that some Cerave products on the shelf sold in Australia now are made in China, that's something to be aware of.

Effective but dryingI use this cleanser as my water-based cleanser in a double cleansing routine and it works effectively to clean and strip all pollutants from my skin HOWEVER I personally have found that it is very drying on my skin and I have to immediately rehydrate it because it becomes very tight and sometimes even flaky (in winter especially).
I was using it two times a day, in the morning and at night after an oil cleanser however eventually I cut back to only using it at night because I found it was too much for my skin in the morning.

BEST AFFORDABLE & AFFECTIVE CLEANSERThis cleanser is amazing for all skin types! It is a great gentle formula, and the additional ceramides, amino acids and hyaluronic acid are an added bonus! The fragrance-free feature of this formula is awesome as well as you can enjoy using the product without disgusting smells surround your face. Oh, and it lasts a long time! I will forever repurchase this product instead of purchasing an expensive, ineffective 'trending' moisturiser, like drunk elephant for example. I literally use this product on the daily and the difference between my skin and pimples from about three months ago is absolutely crazy!!

CERA VE HYDRATINGUp until one year ago, I was completely convinced that using the most expensive products from Sephora was the answer for my skin. I used to have acne prone skin but have developed rosacea in the past year. I had no idea using fancy face masks was causing my problem to be worse. My mother told me to try Cera Ve because her dermatologist told her to. I can’t even begin to describe what all of these products have done for me. The face wash is non drying and leaves my skin feeling silky. I also use the PM cream, eye cream, AM cream and body lotion. I now can say that I use NO FOUNDATION after wearing it for 12 years. I am so comfortable in my own skin now. I am attaching photos of the difference. See for yourself. I have no words.
