Whilst naturally found in skin, the plant-derived qualities of squalene oil and triglyceride work to replenish the skin’s surface after cleansing to provide long-lasting hydration. Directions For Use

Wet your skin with warm water.
Take a pea-sized amount of the cleansing oil onto your hand.
Gently massage the product onto your wet skin - emulsifying the oil cleanser into a foam consistency and avoiding the area around the eyes.
Rinse well with water and pat dry with a clean towel.

It does take a bit more work and patience to get it to work but it does work. I have combination skin and find this is great for my skin, it's not my favourite oil cleanser but for the price and availability, it's a great day to day oil cleanser. I find I have to use a separate makeup remover for waterproof eye makeup but overall I think this works well. It doesn't leave any residue after a second cleanse and when it's on sale it is an absolute bargain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by May M. from Great for double cleansing The CeraVe hydrating foaming oil cleanser is the perfect first step if you are wanting to double cleanse. Even when I'm not wearing a full face of makeup I always like to double cleanse to remove the sunscreen off my face. When you first pump the product out it looks just like an oil but as soon as you mix it with water it starts to emulsify and foam up. I use this as the first part of my skincare routine because it helps to remove all the makeup and sunscreen from off my face. It does foam up well and my skin feels clean without leaving any greasy residue behind from the cleanser. You can also use it with a wash cloth too if you prefer. Sometimes one pump isn't enough and I go in with a second cleanse of the oil cleanser. I then always follow it up with another cleanser to as part of the double or triple cleansing process. Even though it's for the face I can also see this working well for the body if you have sensitive and dry skin.

So following some research I gave this Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser By CeraVe a try and I have not looked back. This cleanser is so gentle on the skin and yet it manages to take off all my make-up at the end of the day including mascara. It does not foam very much, but it feels very nice on the skin while I massage it all over my face. I have been using this as step one in my nightly double cleansing routine and it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. The packaging with the pump dispenser is great too!

The Hydrating foaming oil cleanser is excellent, my skin feels fresh, smooth, and clean always after using it. It has no fragrance and it does not leave any residue behind. I love the pump packaging, very convenient and easy to use. I bought mine last year and I still have so much left in the bottle, such a great value for money. I have a normal to combination skin type and it suited me very well. I love using it as a second cleanse. I would highly recommend and buy it again.
