The SA Smoothing Cream gently exfoliates bumps and dry patches without compromising the skin's natural barrier. Developed with dermatologists, the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream also contains hydrating hyaluronic acid and three essential ceramides.

This smoothing cream targets dry and rough skin, and is also suitable for Keratosis Pillaris (chicken skin), a condition that results in red bumps on the face and body, usually on the upper arms and thighs.

Dead cells build up on the skin surface and create clogged pores and dry patches. The most common types of chemical exfoliates to remove bump skin and Keratosis Pillaris are Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) and Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs). The CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream contains both salicylic acid which is a BHA, and also Lactic Acid which is an AHA. Additionally the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream contains Urea which also exfoliates and stimulates cell renewal. This exfoliating cream provides skin smoothing properties. Consistent use helps the skin to feel soft and smooth.

Apply liberally as often as needed. Avoid eye area. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

IT really does target dry areas and is fragrance free perfect for eczema etc. I used this for eczema and had a friend who had blister patches that dried up into flakey skin and this applied everyday really helped the skin barrier to heal. It is rare to find a cream like this. This is a bit too heavy for the face however really good to lock in moisture for the body. It is great for skin conditions that dry the skin out and repairs the barrier. What i love about cerave is that it is dermatologist approved

I was severely underwhelmed with all 3. Actually, I’ve been underwhelmed with every Cerave product that I’ve tried. This lotion isn’t BAD, but it isn’t worth the hype and there are much better options available if you’re willing to spend that little bit extra. It did nothing for my keratosis Pilaris or ingrown hairs. It has a nice texture, is a fantastic price for the size and has great ingredients but it just didn’t do much for me. The best use that I found for it, was as a moisturiser on my legs after shaving. I applied it whilst my legs were still a little damp and it seemed to help somewhat in the sense that I think I had less ingrown hairs but I still had some and it could have been my wishful thinking imagining that it did something. I would not repurchase.

After doing a quick internet search of Keratosis Pilaris, this cream came up so I thought I would give it a go. It is fairly pricey in my opinion for the size of the tube but it's well worth it because it has worked and my bumps started reducing in size and in number with in the first 2 weeks and now they are almost all gone. The cream is thick, rich and white. It is totally fragrance free. It takes a few minutes to absorb but once absorbed it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy whatsoever. It definitely softens and smooths the skin you just have to be patient and use daily. I would recommend this for Keratosis Pilaris.

My skin has been particularly dry and over the last few years I have noticed a build up of dry bumpy skin especially on the backs of my arms (Keratosis Piliaris), chest, upper tummy and back. After showering I have been using the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream on these areas and after not even a full week noticed how much softer, smoother and more moisturised my skin felt. Love that the tube of cream stands on its lid makes it easy to squeeze out, the cream is medium to thick consistency, white in colour, no scent, it spreads really easily as goes its absorption which it does really well leaving no greasy feeling. After using this for a few weeks my skin feels a lot more smooth and hydrated and the rough patches and bumps are far less obvious, I can’t wait to see how my skin feels with prolonged use. 100% I recommend this fabulous cream.

I do find it quite expensive for the size it is but having said that it does help and my bumps are almost all gone. I also like using this as a hand cream as it's very hydrating and smoothing. It doesn't have any smell and it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy once absorbed. It does take a few minutes to fully absorb but that doesn't bother me at all. If you have Keratosis Pilaris give this a go. It works for me.

I originally purchased this to try to reduce keratosis pilaris on the backs on my arms. I have tried so many products/remedies over the years to reduce this with limited success. After using this cream every day for just a couple of weeks, my keratosis pilaris was gone! I now only apply once a week (or every couple of weeks if I forget) and it keeps the bumps at bay. I have very sensitive skin but occasionally will experience a bit of congestion on my face. I can use this cream on my face for 2-3 days with no issues and it will resolve the congestion. If I have a lot of razor bumps from shaving, using this cream as a moisturiser works wonders to smooth all the bumps. I absolutely adore this cream and will repurchase it hopefully forever!
