Directions For Use

Apply Skin Renewing Retinol Serum in small dots where needed around your face
Gently smooth serum onto your skin until it’s thoroughly absorbed

Besides the known anti-aging benefits of retinol, the formula has a nice mix of gentle actives - ceramides (high up on ingredients list) to keep his skin barrier healthy, niacinamide for skin soothing, anti-aging and evening out skin tone, and hyaluronic acid for hydration. Like other CeraVe products, it has no fragrance. The texture is a lovely milky emulsion and is quite light and pleasant, that spreads and absorbs nicely. It layers nicely under moisturiser. I purchased it for my husband who has dry sensitive skin who can tolerate low concentrations of retinol. He was able to use this without any irritation, and it was handy to take it on our travels as the container is lightweight and leak-free. Overall, I would definitely recommend it as a safe option for retinol beginners, or for those with sensitive skin. The combination with ceramides and niacinamide is a good idea to strengthen any fragile skin barriers.

I have always been cautious of retinol because of how active it is as an ingredient! Given that CeraVe is developed with dermatologist, I feel reassured that they know what is best for the skin without overly loading active ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised how effective this has been as my night routine. My skin definitely feels renewed and I wake up looking more refreshed! My skin is plump and supple ! It is very noticeable!

I use it alternate nights and I still feel like it works just as good as my usual retionpl and I have repurchased this again even though it was meant to be my backup. It works well in reducing redness of my acne and scarring. It comes in a air pump bottle which is super hygienic and the fact it will maintain its potent as it is in a air pump container. CraVe has done it again. I highly recommend this product !

Another added benefit of the formula is that it also has hyaluronic acid and 3 essential ceramides which protects and moisturises the skin's barrier, allowing the retinol to work even further. After daily use, I did notice a huge improvement in my fine lines and skin texture (vitamin A is one of the superhero ingredients for preventative and anti-aging skincare!), and was very pleased to find I did not have any reactions, which retinol can sometimes cause. I highly recommend the Skin Renewing Retinol Serum for those wanting to up their skincare game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t use retinol usually because I sometimes can have sensitive skin reactions, but had to try this nighttime serum from my favourite brand CeraVe. I think that it is a good starter retinol for people who haven’t used one before and is very affordable compared to others on the market. The product is fragrance free, feels light and a little goes a long way! I really love the pump too as it makes it easy to measure how much you need and to disperse the product evenly. I can’t wait to see the difference that this makes on my skin long term.

I have been finding that they aren’t as harsh and the skin and work towards to the same results. I was very excited to try the CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum for this very reason. I slipped it into my nigh routine and found that I made a noticeable difference to the overall look of my skin without the irritation and purge than can be caused by retinol. I really like the applicator pump bottle as it allowed for a controlled portion to come out. The texture is light and sinks in well to the skin. It’s developed by dermatologist and is scent free! The hyaluronic acid in the formulation allows for a plumper and more hydrated feel. I’d recommend this retinol to anyone who is prone to be more sensitive when it comes to retinol.

I was so happy to find this product was not only great for my sensitive skin but super hydrating - an experience I've never had with retinol products! I used this at night under my moisturiser and my skin was noticeably plumper, most likely from the ceramides. I didn't feel any tightness or tingling, and when I woke up my skin definitely looked smooth and wasn't sensitive at all. I also love that this product is an airless pump - I don't like to use products that are exposed to air because they oxidize so quickly. I'll definitely purchase this in the future.

I have sensitive combination skin and always on the lookout for a retinol which I can use more often than once a week that doesn't cause a reaction or irritation. I found this one to be non drying, non irritating and actually effective at smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around my eyes and lips. I saw results within 2 weeks and very happy with the results so far. Using this along side the night cream at night and the vitamin c for the morning has definitely improved my skin without reaction. Looking forward to trying more of the CeraVe range.
