After a long summer of being out in the sun every day, I was looking forward to trying the new Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Healthy Glow Daily Cream. It promises to tackle most of the problems that come with dry skin - dryness, roughness, tightness and irritation. I was happy that the cream was fragrance-free and suitable for sensitive skin. I applied it twice a day, morning and night, to my face and neck after cleansing and immediately after application, I could feel that my skin was so soft. All the tightness that comes from dry skin was gone. Whilst I cannot report seeing my skin glowing after using the cream, I can say that it definitely made my skin look healthier and softer. I definitely saw an improvement in my skin’s complexion after using the cream for a few weeks, the cream seemed to add a lot of freshness and rejuvenation. I would recommend it to people who have dry skin but I wouldn’t say it performed magic tricks on my skin. Definitely worth a try though.

White in colour, med-thick consistency my skin absorbs it beautifully without any shine or breakouts in what I usually would get with a thicker cream having combination skin. My skin has been consistently more hydrated and well moisturised using this and now that we have entered the cooler months I will see how my skin responds to it in conjunction with the serum. Affordable, has been great for daily use so I am recommending this cream to all of my family and friends.

I continued for a few days to give it a try and it still burns and it left me with small white acne all over my face :( my skin isn’t prone to acne. Super disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pete from Fine but... I suspect this product needs to be used with the serum as well for maximum effect because it's unclear how much hyaluronic acid is in it. Good general moisturiser but I'm going to compare similar competitor offerings before buying again. Certainly great with sensitive skin and it's light. Packaging is a pain for travel as it is deceptively large for the quantity of mosturiser.

But when I used this I realised THIS is really irritation. As soon as I applied it, I felt some tightness, followed by burning, irritation, and unsightly redness, peeling & rash (not itchy). With heaps of positive reviews, enticing ingredients like hyaluronic acid & niacinamide, no obvious scent & it seemingly being marketed towards sensitive skin, I thought it would be good, but if you are sensitive, beware. Now, back to my hunt for a moisturiser that actually helps my sensitive, dry skin........

I must say, the cream doesn't provide enough hydration, I wake up the next morning with my skin still dry and tight. Although it does feel good to apply on the skin, it still doesn't moisturise my skin.
