A simple spf inclusion to build into your everyday that doesnt get in the way!
I spent years searching for the perfect day cream with high spf and have never found the one. So decided to divide & conquer. Now I use this every day for the spf factor and pair with a serum and my moisturiser of choice depending on my skin needs and what actives I want to use. Love the fact this formula is so bland and unobtrusive with anything else I pair it with. I'm prone to congestion & sensitive and this neither irritates or blocks my pores or breaks me out. It feels light, has no fragrance and layers well over a serum & under another moisturiser & foundation & doesnt ball when you layer other things on top. Cheap too!

Felt thick.
This was my first SPF product when I wanted to start wearing facial sunscreen... and it didn't feel good! It felt very thick and cakey, like foundation, even if I massaged it in. It was also a little sticky and my hands felt gritty after I had rubbed it in. For some reason I feel like this made me become oily even though I have dry skin. Ah, that's the word. It was greasy! I used this a few times and gave it away to a friend who wanted to try it. She said it was okay. Not a home run for Cetaphil like their facial cleansers or moisturisers.

A great sunscreem for sensitive skin.
I purchased this sunscreen as I was looking for a light moisturising spf50 sunscreen that could be worn daily under makeup.
This sunscreen is a chemical/physical mix (contains titanium zioxide). Because of the physical ingredients it does give a white cast initial but that fades after a few minutes as the product sinks into the skin.
Pros:
*Layers well over serums and under makeup
*Spf 50
*Readily available
*Includes moisturising ingredients
*Incorporates physical sunscreen (as well as chemical)
*Gentle enough for sensitive/irritated skin
*No greasy
*Effectively protects the skin from sun damage/burn (but you must apply enough half an hour before you go outside, most of us apply no where near enough to be properly protected)
Cons:
*Contains chemical sunscreens
This is a great daily sunscreen that layers well under makeup. I would buy again for use in Winter and Autumn (when the UVA/UVB is less harsh). For summer I prefer a dedicated physical sunscreen.

Really great moisturiser!
OK. I love Cetaphil products! Especially this one. I love that it has SPF 30+ so it really protects my skin. I'm the oily/combination type and when I applied it on my face, it felt a bit greasy while rubbing it on my skin, but it's GREASE FREE when it dries, and when I use other moisturiser + sunscreen my face was so oily and greasy. It's also very helpful when you want to set face powder on your face; it's not greasy under your makeup. Will definitely buy again!

I am using this product as my Day moisturiser because it provides a high level of sun protection (SPF 30) from UVA/UVB rays. It provides me with all day moisture and is gentle on my sensitive skin.<br />You only require a small amount of this product otherwise if you use too much you skin can start to feel greasy.

Favourite moisturiser with great sun protection!
I am submitting my review for this product again because I absolutely love it and would love it to get a glosscar award! I always use a moisturiser with SPF on my face everyday no matter what, so when I received a trial invite for this product I jumped at the opportunity! I have since been using this for over 6 months and it has become one of my essential items that I pretty much could not go without!<br />I must admit I do find the use of the product a little confusing – whether it intended to be used as simply just a sunscreen or if it is a daily moisturiser with SPF, but I suppose it can be used either way. As you may have guessed, I decided I would use it as an everyday moisturiser. I do think the tube looks quite small but that's a bit deceptive as it really is the same or similar in amount of content (by measurement) then most other brands of facial moisturiser, and I've found it lasts ages! Since I changed over to this product my mum has followed me and so one tube probably lasts us 2-3 (and we share, so that means potentially it could last 5-6 months if it is just one person using it!). The tube is designed really well; it's nothing fancy but it enables the cream to be dispensed really easily without waste and you can that last little bit out. The consistency of the moisturiser is just right, not too thick nor too thin, so it doesn't make a mess getting it out, yet it is not so thick it's hard to apply. It also means it is fairly lightweight (not heavy unlike some sunscreens) and is absorbed quickly into the skin. When I think about it, the cream does smell a little sunscreeny when you first apply it but this quickly disappears which is preferred for everyday use. As the tube claims it is fragrance free which is another thumbs up here but I often find fragrances irritating. I really liked the look of this moisturiser on my skin, it wasn't greasy or oily like some sunscreen looks, in fact it gave my face a rather matte look which means I could use it every day without any problems. It also works really well under makeup – gave a great finish.<br />This is now my favourite everyday moisturiser that I can not go a day without! Oh I suppose I should also add another important fact considering this is a sunscreen product – that I have never been burnt on my face while wearing it even when outdoors on hot days. Overall I would say this is a little bit more pricey than some other brands of SPF moisturisers on the market but I definitely think it is worth it as really when you are protecting your skin, no price is too much!

Brilliant everyday SPF 30 facial moisturiser!
EVERY product I have used from Cetaphil has impressed me hands down! It is a loyal brand recommended by dermatologists- so what more could you ask for?!!! Do yourself a favour and treat your skin to this moisturiser's benefits! I have been using this product since its launch and haven't looked back since! It is easily the best SPF 30 facial moisturiser on the market!

Another great product form cetaphil
I was looking for a SPF 30+ facial moisturizer which was gentle, non-greasy and fragrance free, and boy this one delivered. It glides on beautifully, just like the standard cetaphil moisturizer. The only downside is that it isn't waterproof. Highly recommended to anyone who finds that greasy sunscreens break their skin out big time!

Great sun protection! Resubmitting my Review for the 2011 Glosscars
I trialled this for the BH Trial Team. When I first got the product, I was a little confused as to whether it is a moisturiser or a sun screen, but having applied it- it's a sun screen! I like the simple packaging; the colours are bright and summery, perfect for a sun screen, and at 50ml, it's also the perfect size to throw in your bag for whenever you need it throughout the day
Although on the box it says that it's meant for all skin types, I think that it would work best for people with sensitive skin, as it feels a little bit heavy/oily on my skin for a while after I apply it, which I didn't like
To me it does smell a lot like a sunscreen when you first apply it (even though it's meant to be fragrance free), which was another thing I didn't like about it, and it applies like a sunscreen. It goes on kind of thick, and leaves your skin looking kind of white for a few minutes after application, and it also takes a bit of effort to rub it in
Having said all that, I think that it would work well as a base or primer underneath your make up if you have dry skin, as it leaves your skin feeling smooth, supple and well moisturised, and relieves you of the worry of getting sun burnt
Although there were a few things about this product that I didn't like, I can say that I will be using it throughout the summer to protect my face from sun burn, as it does this well.

Not for dark skinned beauties!
I had a choice of buying this sunscreen or the ever popular Neutrogena and I chose this one. Unfortunately, not good for dark gals like me as it leaves an ashy look to the skin and quite oily feeling. I then tried the Neurtrogena Ultra Sheer sunscreen and it was perfect....no ashy look, blended into the skin nicely, no shine and excellent sun block.

Happily surprised
Having only recently hearing of Cetaphil, I'm glad I got to try this sunscreen especially as I've just been on holiday - great timing!<br />I would normally use a bigger brand for sunscreen as I would normally trust it more but I thought this product was great! I used it mainly on face as this is where other brands let me down and don't seem to protect me as well. It is really easy to rub in and doesn't remain white or sting your eyes like some other thick face sunscreens. It was still thick but not unpleasant and after application my face really felt protected so I only had to re-apply again later in the day - it really seemed to stay on throughout sunbathing and going in the pool. I would definitely use this product again and luckily still have loads left for the rest of the summer so I think it's really good value too!<br />The only downside to this was that it made my face slightly shiny and oily so I had to dust over some powder or apply another mattifying cream over the top - but I would rather this than get sun burnt or having a sunscreen you have to apply constantly.

Family Friendly
Like all Cetaphil products, it has been formulated for sensitive skin, it is non greasy and fragrance free. I had no hesitation using the broad-spectrum daily moisturiser as it gave me the confidence that I knew I wasn't going to have any breakouts or reactions while using it. It is a great product for the whole family, especially the kids, as I knew there was nothing in the formula that would react with their really sensitive skin.<br />In summer I am particularly conscious of using a daily moisturiser with SPF to protect my skin, and this new formula has an SPF of 30+. It comes in a simple and easy to use 50ml tube, which can be carried in your handbag or gym bag.<br />I only needed a small amount to cover my face and a little extra for my neck and chest area, which is readily absorbed into my skin. I did notice that it made my skin look white but this quickly disappears.<br />My skin felt great whilst using the product, smooth and soft, and it was a great base for make up. Best of all, you have peace of mind knowing your skin is protected from the harsh sun damage.

Practical, reliable and easy to use!
A practical flip-top tube design makes Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defence SPF 30+ Daily Facial moisturiser quick and easy to squeeze out just the amount you require each time. Its also easy to pop into your bag for travelling or to reappply when desired. Fragrance free this moisturiser with SPF 30+ is a medium, thick consistency when squeezed from the tube but spreads evenly with a light feel onto my face and neck. I find a small amount covers a generous area making this moisturiser fair value. It absorbs within a few minutes and leaves my dry skin feeling hydrated and comfortable. Surprisingly it doesn't leave my skin looking greasy or white after it absorbs like many SPF products can do, instead my skin has a fresh dewy look to it. Even in 30 degrees heat it applies without greasiness and leaves my skin feeling moisturised without feeling suffocated. Amazingly it doesn't irritate my sunscreen sensitive face, possibly due to its hypo-allergenic, non-comedogenic formula. I use this every morning in place of my old moisturiser and am impressed with how well my skin has responded to it with no breakouts, just soft, hydrated and sun protected skin. I apply makeup or loose powder over it on occasion and it seems to work well as a base. Being a facial moisturiser and UVA/UVB SPF 30+ all in one makes my morning routine faster as I need only apply one product not two for ultimate protection. The mexoryl technology in this is clever and works well as I haven't had any sunburn to my face while using this. I even use it before swimming and re-apply afterwards and find it keeps me covered. I will happilly continue to use this and purchase it again and have suggested it to male and female friends as I find it to be a uni-sex product that in my experience lives up to all its claims. This can also be used on the body but I like it so much I use it on my face, neck and decolletage. Endorsed by the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia using Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defence SPF 30+ gives me peace of mind knowing that my face is not only moisturised but also sun protected helping guard against skin cancer and skin ageing. A multi tasker that really works.

Read BEFORE Burning
I usually like my daily moisturiser to have an SPF but most only come as 15+ and in an Australian summer you really do need a 30+. But I really hate that greasy, shiny look and feel of regular sunscreen. Luckily there is Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense SPF 30+. I applied this daily after moisurising and I have been very happy with the results. It was fine under makeup - in fact I reckon it gave my make up a bit of staying power! The sunscreen was easily aborbed and didn't leave my face feeling greasy or 'heavy', it didn't 'ghost', nor did it sting like some sunscreens do. Best thing a out this sunscreen was it did it's job. Today I spent the day outside, and like usual applied the Cetaphil sunscreen to my face in the morning. Unfortunately I neglected to apply any sunscreen to my arms or legs (oops). The only place I didn't burn? You guessed it - my face.<br />This product is a bit of a winner. A great sunscreen for sensitive skin, great with or without make up and excellent sun protection. Will definitely continue to use this product.

Lived up to its promise
The sunscreen boasts protection from both UVA and UVB rays with Mexoryl technology
I tried this out when I went to the beach the other day. I was exposed to extremely strong sun rays for well over 4 hours, but didn't tan or sunburn. This was in spite of playing in the water for part of the time and not reapplying, so I was quite pleased with the results
I also liked that unlike other sunscreens, it wasn't runny or greasy and it absorbed into my skin really quickly. The combination with a moisturizer was exactly what I needed.
The sunscreen was fragrance free too which I'm delighted about. I don't like the synthetic smell lingering when I put on sunscreen, a constant reminder of the chemicals put into the formula
I'm quite curious about the Mexoryl technology, so I looked it up. It's the ingredient credited with being the next technology in sun protection
At a price of $20 for just 50mL was a little on the high end of my price range. I don't think I would normally have picked this up at the shops if I hadn't been invited for this trial, so I'm really glad that I had a chance to try this, because I would definitely recommend it to my friends
I would however love to see this available in larger sizes. 50mL's is definitely not enough to last a summer, especially if I'm sharing with my friends.

Nice once it settles in
If you remember the old style sunscreens that were a thick, heavy white cream that left you with a ghostly white complexion, imagine mixing that with a light moisturiser to get rid of the thick heaviness and you'll know what this one is like upon application. Within half an hour or so after application, the ghost effect seems to disappear as it settles into the skin.

Great, serviceable product that does the job
Thanks BH for sending this one out for me to trial. I have been using it every day as part of my morning skincare routine. I have very sensitive skin and have not experienced any problems at all. I liked the absence of fragrance in a product for everyday use. It is easy to control the amount of product coming out of the tube and it rubs into the skin leaving very little white residue. It added a small amount of shine to my skin but as my face is often a little dry I did not mind this at all. The only small fault I could find it that it make some of my foundations look a little uneven but generally it is not too bad under makeup.

What grease?
This is my first time on the trial team. Thank you BH for inviting me to trial this lovely product!
First and foremost, when first applied this product does feel like you are slapping sun screen on (an ultra light form of sunscreen) and tends to have that greasy feeling to it. When coming out of the tube the product is white but not creamy or thick in consistency (unlike most sunscreens), rather it is sort of runny in texture. It was also easy to apply. Due to the runny texture you didn't have to work it into the skin as much
BUT!!! given time to absorb into the skin (which the box had instructed to do so for 15-20 mins before sun exposure) it had absorbed into the skin as if i had just applied moisturizer on my face. It left my face smooth, moisturized and light in the sense that my face didn't feel like it was ladled with a thick layer of sunscreen that had a high level of spf 30+
The product does have the faintest smell of sunscreen but nothing that would be offensive or abrasive to sensitive skin (as promised on the packaging) BIG tick for me there
I tested the product in a sunny warm day (30+ degrees heat) and applied my make up as per usual (BUT i must warn i don't wear foundation so no idea what it'd do to people who do want to wear foundation with this underneath, however i do have oily lids and it didn't create a problem for me when i applied eyeshadow). It was great! I didn't get a greasy feeling, my face felt normal even when I had a bit of sweat from working around it didn't make my face feel overly greasy which is a top priority when it comes to sunscreens for the face
Most importantly unlike other face sunscreens on the market, it didn't sting the crap out of my eyes when i wanted to apply sunscreen in that particular area. Which is a MASSIVE plus for me because i don't think any particular part of your face (particularly an area as sensitive as the eye) should miss out on applications of sun screens.
I have yet to test it out in water conditions. But I don't think it'd give off that waterproof feeling sunscreen tends to have when you enter into the water!
Overall, a great product, definitely a re-purchase. Loved the fact that i could apply it over the eyes without it getting irritated (GREAT FOR contact eye wearers i would assume and can imagine). And it was lightweight for something that had an spf of 30+.

I have been trialling this product as part of the BH Trial Team. the packaging is bland but the description is easy to understand and straight to the point! I have sensitive and fair skin and was excited to use this product! It was easy to apply and a little really goes a long way, initially after i apply the moisturiser it does have a fairly strong smell and left my face with a white 'sunblocked' look and was shiny but withing a minute or so the moisturiser was absorbed and no smell or white film was evident, and the shine had been absorbed aswell. My skin was well moisturised and i was reassured my face was protected from the sun. All in all i found this product to be great and i would definatley purchase again!

I am excited to finally be invited to be part of the BH trial team and provide my verdict on this particular product.<br />First of all I like the simple packaging of this moisturiser and that it is in a handy 50ml tube. The description on the box is clear and straight to the point.<br />Did it deliver as promised? I can comfortably say yes, as it did not irritate my sensitve skin, it did not clog my pores like most sunscreen based products do, it wasn't greasy and most importantly it protected my skin from the sun's harmful rays.<br />It is fragarnce free - it only has a very very subtle sunscreen smell, but once absorbed into skin it's totally odour free. After using it for 4 days my skin has been soft and supple and I did not experinece any negative affects. Although when applying it needs to be rubbed in very thoroughly as it can leave a white film on the skin, otherwise when absorbed it was not greasy.This product is suitable for all skin types and is great for everyday use. I have been using it as a pre makeup base and I'm happy with the results knowing that I'm also protected from the sun and don't have to worry about getting burnt or hiding under shades when out and about. Overall, it is an excellent new product from Cetaphil and I would definitely buy it again.

Cetaphil SPF 30+
I found this product to be gentle on my sensitive skin. A lot of sunscreens (even light oil free ones) don't fully absorb into my skin, leaving skin with a shiny appearance. Although this product is better than other sunscreens I've tried I still found it left me looking shiny. I found probably recommend it to those with dry, sensitive skin.
