Gently smooth QV Lip Balm evenly over clean, dry lips prior to exposure to sun, wind, cold and other harsh climatic conditions or whenever lips are dry. Reapply every two hours and after swimming, sweating, exercise and towelling dry.

Holy Grail SPF 30+ lip balm
I received this as a Gift with Purchase when I bought a large bottle of QV cream and I thought at the time that if I hate it I can just throw it out. I am particularly sensitive to chemical sunscreens and I also can't stand the taste or smell of all the lip balms with sunscreen that I have tried before. The taste particularly made me feel somewhat nauseous - YUCK!
HOWEVER, this balm is the exception to the chemical sunscreen rule. I actually love it! For me it is the perfect day time lip balm, no taste, no smell and it moisturises and protects my lips from the sun. Doesn't get any better than that. I am one of those who is obsessed with lip balms as I don't often wear lipstick or much makeup so this lovely little tube of moisture is a perfect godsend for me. I will definitely repurchase this wonderful product forever.
I have only recently started using the term HOLY GRAIL as I have only recently found products that are worthy of the title for me, and for me the irony is real as they are both facial sunscreen products and both in the QV range (QV Day Cream SPF 30+). Ironic because I have hated and avoided sunscreens for years and refused to wear it due to the suffering I would endure. I guess that is why they get the honour of the title and QV gets my eternal gratitude (as long as they keep making it!) for making me sunsafe.

Best lip balm ever!!
I first bought this lip balm in Melbourne about 15 years ago. It is the only one I use. I have never found a better product anywhere. I order several tubes and have them shipped to me overseas.

Great
It makes my lips feel soft and moisturised. It is really easy to apply, and the tube lasts a long time. I mostly use this at night time, and I can still feel it working on my lips in the morning! When I use it in the day, it comes off more quickly, as it tends to stay on top of the lips rather than soaking in. The SPF is great and definitely very beneficial in Aus!

QV Lip Balm
This is a lovely smooth and glossy lip balm that leaves a stunning sheen to your lips. It's very emollient and moisturizing, but not at all greasy or sticky. I've gone through multiple tubes of this as it is one of the only lip balms that effectively moisturizes my lips and the dry skin around my mouth, without stinging.
I find this leaves a nice layer of moisture on the lips, even after the initial gloss has worn off. It does need to be applied more frequently than some of the other lip balms I own. I also find it very useful on top of some of my more drying lip sticks.
This is another winning product from QV to incoporate into a simple, no fuss skincare regime. There's no fragrance or anything nasty - just a basic and very effective lip balm.

Wears off easily..
It comes in an innovative little tube that is easy to dispense with a glide on applicator.
It has light & slippery texture but not at all sticky. It has no colour or scent to it.
On application it leaves my lips soft but since it has a very thin consistency it wears off easily and need to be reapplied quite frequently. If not applied frequently it makes my lips rough & dry again. So the effect of soft and smooth lips does not last for a long time.
The only best thing about this lip balm is it comes with SPF 30+ which is generally difficult to find in lip balms.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this lip balm to someone with dry lips as it is not very moisturizing and as others have mentioned its just sits on top of the lips and doesn't get absorbed.
So after loving their QV cream I am quite disappointed with this product.

the perfect scentless sunscreen lip balm
I was looking for a broad spectrum lip balm that protects from UVA and UVB rays that's also scentless. this is the only one i've found so far that's perfectly clear and doesn't make your lips look a cloudy washed out colour. it is quite glossy though. the texture feels quite similar to wearing Lucas Pawpaw cream but has the added benefit of sunscreen. it's very soothing and makes my lips soft.

The best lip balm on the market!!
I have really struggled with dry lips. This is one of the only products I have found that has soothed my lips. Other products have left my lips feeling worse but this product really soothes. Highly recommended!!

High SPF for sensitive skin.
I use this since it has the highest SPF I've found in a cheap balm, and since there's no fragrance or flavour it's great for sensitive skin, so my 19 month old son and I share it. We apply it before going outside every day to protect our lips from the sun and since it forms a thick (although unpleasant feeling, it's true) barrier it's great to protect from the drying effects of the wind as well.
Unless I find something with a similar level of sun protection that feels nicer, I'll keep on using this for us.

I was so excited to try this product as I have read amazing reviews and it was such a good price and such a large tube. I am a bit disappointed.
As others have said, the balm does not last long on your lips and doesn't absorb. It just sort of sits there and goes white or licks off really easily.
The texture is like an ointment but then feels watery, not sticky.
I wonder if the SPF 30+ is accurate when you consider those factors.
I will continue to use the tube as my at home balm or emergency balm as it is fine but just not anything special.

Over-promises, under-delivers
I thought this would be fantastic since QV pride themselves on being good quality and low-irritation. But it doesn't absorb and you just end up eating the petroleum based gel. It comes out of the tube too quickly as well so you waste a fair amount. It does have a good sun protection factor though, so if you can keep it on your lips, it's better than nothing.

Pros:
This lip balm has a nice hygienic applicator (squeeze on) and is fragrance free so it's quite good for those who have sensitive lips. It also is very protective with an SPF of 30. The texture is a bit thicker than petroleum jelly and glides on smooth onto the lips.
Cons:
Despite the smooth application, I find that this lip balm does not absorb into my lips at all, rather, creates a greasy layer on top. If you have dry patches beware - this is going to look white a crusty on those areas!
Overall:
I reckon give this lip balm a skip - it's not very effective in giving lasting moisturisation and there are a lot better lip balms in the market at this price range. Don't recommend.

Good product
Great, easy spreading lip balm. Lasts quite a while. Seems to however, have no long lasting effects. If I wipe it off after a while, my lips will still feel dry/chapped. It's just kind of a cover. I put this over more thin, moisturising formulas to lock it in.

This lipbalm is silky soft, unscented, affordable, hase a great applicator, leaves a subtle sheen and at SPF 30+, you know you are protected rain hail or shine. I love to put a thick coating on every night before bed, and I haven't had cracked lips in months now. Love it :)

my holy grail!!
I ADORE this lip balm.
I have really reactive skin and am allergic to lots of common ingredients in cosmetics (especially cheap lip products). I can't use anything with lanolin (plus a few other chemical ingredients that I can only guess to be fragrances and preservatives), and after a particularly nasty reaction to a lipstick that will remain unnamed, my lips were puffy, red, cracked, bleeding and INCREDIBLY sore. Even my beloved pawpaw cream was making it worse. It went on for days. It was horrible!
I saw this product instore and picked it up on a whim, because I'd used a QV eczema cream before and liked it. As soon as I put the lip balm on, my lips felt softer, moisturised. Several hours later, all of the angry, red irritation had subsided and the deep cracking had started to get better. By the next day, it was almost completely healed.
The 'I have lip balm on' feeling doesn't last very long, as has been said in other reviews. But this product isn't addictive-- it doesn't need to 'feel there' all the time for it to work. I apply this maybe twice a day now and my lips are moisturised and comfortable ALL DAY. Instead of re-applying a product that feels nice but doesn't actually do anything for my lips, I'd much rather have a product that actually works.
And this actually WORKS.

Fades quickly
I was using this lipbalm a lot while I had a cold, because my lips were getting super dry and cracking.<br />I found the balm nice and smooth, applied well and it felt hydrating.<br />I liked the tube and applicator, but there's a tendency to overapply, which doesn't happen with traditional balm sticks.<br />Also, the spike on the lid pushes product out when you close the lid, so that can get messy next time you open it.<br />I liked the high SPF, because it's rare to see a lip balm with an SPF higher than 15.<br />It was a big plus how it was ordour, taste and colour-free.<br />However, the main drawback with this lipbalm I found was that it does not last long on the lips.<br />I would put on a good amount, then about 20 minutes later, or a cup of tea later, it would be completely gone.<br />I had to constantly reapply throughout the day.<br />Maybe I did not try this in the usual circumstances, because I had a cold and was breathing through my mouth, which seems to dry my lips like crazy, but I was surprised at how fast this lipbalm disappeared.<br />Even after a glass of water it was pretty much gone.<br />I think it hydrated my lips when on, but as soon as it faded, my lips were back to their cracked selves
Although there were some good points to this lipbalm, the fact that it didn't last on my lips means I would not repurchase.

Love it
I love how this lipbalm is sort of tasteless on your lips and for this price they are s generous compared to some other brands. I love how it comes in a cute tube but sometimes it is so annoying to apply from that. Also what i love about this lipbalm is that it is one of the only lipbalms where i have not gotten an allergy reaction from and i have to say my lips are very prone to allergies

It works fine on normal lips, but when I have any sort of peeling, it feels odd and doesn't help at all. Like when you press your lips together to spread the balm and soften the peeling skin, it doesn't help to soften the dry skin and I end up picking at it instead.

very moisturising, but not greasy
I really like this lip balm. It takes forever to finish this, so it is great value for money. I like the fact that it comes with an applicator attached to it so it is very easy to apply. I find that sometimes it makes my dead skin cells on my lips white, which is good and bad. Good in the sense that I can see the dead skin cells, but bad if I am out to dinner and my friends see how much I need to exfoliate my lips.

I really like QV lip balm. It's moisturising, smooth, not sticky and really well priced for the quantity you get. The applicator is the perfect shape too - Yay for tube lip balms!
As I have a real problem with dry lips, I am yet to find my complete HG. This QV lip balm was great for a few days, but then my lips started to dry out again. I've come to conclusion that I have to rotate lip balms and not stick to just one, as my lips seem to adapt to each one. This is one of the ones I use, especially when I'm going outside (the SPF is so high!).
This brand has been impressing me with a few of it's products.

QV Lip Balm
I used to think that nothing was as good as Paw Paw cream for my lips, but I am happy to say that I have been proven wrong. This little tube is fantastic it goes on nice a smooth and keeps my lips moisturised even in the cold Melbourne winter. I love that it has no taste so I am not licking it of my lips, It doesn't make my lips feel greasy and a little bit goes a long way. The only issue that I do have is that it can be a little hard to squeeze the tube to get some out, but that is a minor thing when compared to the benefits of the Lip Balm.

This lipbalm is fabulous. Smooth, moisturising and fragrance free (which is a HUGE plus for me). I love that it has an spf of 30+ but I wish QV would make a non-spf version I could wear to bed! Will definitely be taking this to the beach this summer:)

This is one product that if you have dry cracked lips is a saviour i have a draw full of lip balms and some work and other well!!! this hydrate the lips make them look good easy to apply no horrible taste ,dermatological test a real saviour to lips a must have.

QV Lip Balm SPF 30+
This lip balm is fantastic. I love all of The QV range and this lip balm is no exeption. The product itself is a very smooth gel that is extreamly moisturing, emoliant and non-greasy or oily. It is free from any fragrences and known irritants so it's safe to use on even the most sensitive of lips. As many of the other lip balms on the market are medicated and can irritate sensitive lips this is a great ulternative. Sometimes if my lips are really dry i like to apply a little of this over the top of my carmex lip balm to provide an extra moisture hit. The SPF 30+ is a great addition as it protects ur lips from the elements. I usually wear it alone in the summer to protect my lips from the harsh sun and over lipstick in the winter to protect my lips from the cold and wind and it provides a great glossy sheen. QV Lip Balm leaves your lips silky and soft and super moisturised.

Great for a natural sheen
I've been using this on and off for the last month, It comes in a very easy to apply tube which is also quite big for the price.<br />It's very easy to squeeze out of the tube and onto your lips. I also find that it is very moisturising whilst not being sticky at all. And the SPF 30+ means it is the ideal everyday balm for Summer.<br />A great balm for anyone male or female who wants a natural looking balm that has no flavour, goes on clear and needs sun protection.

Hydrating Smooth Lips
QV Lip Balm with SPF 30+ is a great lip care product to carry around. Helps with hydrating the lips, smoothing any roughness away with sun protection that helps prevent & maintain lips looking good. The packaging comes in a handy 15g squeezable tube that fits into a small purse or pocket, so that you can re-apply anywhere anytime. The clear gel texture allows smooth application and I love the fact that it is non fragrance so that even the most sensitive skin user could use too. The texture of the lip balm is not sticky and not overly shiny /glossy. I would recommend this product to everyone! The lip balm is dermatologically tested, so those vary about reacting to new product can feel assured. This lip balm really helped me to gain back my smooth lips and I feel my lips are more comfortable & hydrated. Worth every penny spent!

Awesome! My favourite lipbalm ive ever owned :)
This is one of my absolute favourite lip balms.... Have been using it since i was given it by my dermatologist in HS cos of dry skin with Roaccutane medication and ive never looked back! It keeps my lips moisturised, it never gets all dried out and crackly and its tube design makes it insanely easy to apply... plus its a cheapie!!
