Not my favourite bottle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t really like this bottle or the teats. I was started on these in the hospital and then had a bunch gifted to me. Bub didn’t like it and struggled to latch, milk leaked out the sides and he had so much air. I then switched to the pigeon wide teats and absolutely different feeding experience. I think you just have to find what works for your baby as I have so many friends who highly recommend Medela so it really depends.

Great starter bottle, not a fan of the teat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought these bottles for our bubba when he was a newborn, and we were using the entire Medela range, so we wanted to keep everything the same brand for consistency. These bottles were great in terms of milk storage, however our baby for some reason didn’t like the shape of the teat. This is probably him just being picky, and we ended up getting other options for him to try. He ended up wanting a larger / rounder bottle and teat rather than this elongated smaller one. The lid is also a little bit flimsy because it’s so small, but once you get it on it’s fine.

Great bottle

The quality of the bottle and the teat are great and wash really well. Bub drinks well from these bottles and teat. Overall, happy with the product and this brand in general

Great little bottle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela 150ml bottle was what I predominantly used for expressed breast milk when my baby was little. I loved the ease with which she took to the nipple, and there was never any nipple confusion or refusal with it. I also really liked the cap and base to keep it more stable - handy in the fridge too.

Not great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these bottles and Swing pump Maxi while I was pregnant after reading reviews how good they were. When we brought our baby home, I was having trouble breastfeeding so we turned to formula. A home lactation consultant said the Medela bottle teats (which are long and narrow) are too fast-flowing for babies and makes them practically scull the milk. Not good for a newborn. So she recommended a different bottle brand (a wide neck style with slower slow-flow teat) and that's been working great for us.
The long and narrow teats dont replicate my breast nipple at all- mine are wide and flat, so my newborn was likely getting confused.
The opening for the bottle is quite narrow too and I found it difficult getting a scoop of formula in without spilling some of it. A wide-neck bottle served better from that aspect.
The cap of the bottle is solid yellow so when you're shaking up the formula then remove the cap, formula leaks out. If the cap was clear plastic, that issue could be easier managed.
Lactation consultant also said the Medela swing maxi pump isnt a very strong pump- she recommended a different brand and I have since been extracting more breastmilk.
The one thing I did like about the Swing maxi is that it was portable and you charge it up after around 5 uses. But I didnt like how the pump parts are solid plastic so you cant see the milk extraction, and when you pull the parts apart to wash them, quite a lot of fiddly parts to further try collect residual milk from (important to me because I have low supply).

A great first bottle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela feeding bottle was gifted to me alongside the pump, and it was the first bottle I ever used to feed bub my expressed milk. We had a great experience with the bottle- he latched really easily which just took the pressure off the whole experience, being it was the first bottle feed.

Great bottles

They are a good size and the writing is all very clear, making it easy to know the dosage in each bottle. My son didn’t drink very well with teat that can with it, as he prefers the wide teat instead

Seriously great pumping system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great with the medella pump. They collect the milk and then go straight in the fridge. The teats are soft enough for baby not to gag and he has never rejected them. Our second son loved these and still uses them for formula every now and then. Well worth the money and definitely recommend them.
