Rated 4 out of 5 by misfortune8 from AUSSIE-MADE! It Whitens, but It's Very Runny I bought this tube of alfree Whitening Toothpaste from the Beautyheaven Rewards Room using my points. Although this toothpaste is especially for those with chemical sensitivities or allergies, I don't have that problem: I bought it because I prefer whitening toothpastes. This toothpaste is unflavoured, but I can detect a very mild, sweet charcoal scent. It's dark grey & has a thick texture, with tiny black bits suspended throughout. As I brush, this toothpaste liquefies more than other brands, meaning it can be tricky to work it around my whole mouth. Using my electric toothbrush, I've had to change to doing all my top teeth before the bottom ones; otherwise, I feel like there's not enough product to do the job. This charcoal toothpaste makes my hand basin messy, but my teeth have remained their whitest. Australian made & owned. I have recently started using whitening toothpastes and wanted to try this one, thus decided to get it as part of the rewards room. It comes in a great clean paper packaging to that ticks the first box for me. The packaging is all recyclable, and the black tube is easy to use and works well to clean and whiten the teeth. From reading a bit more about the brand and the information on the packaging it is an Australian brad and has good quality ingredients. It is free from salicylates and artificial colours, mint, artificial sweeteners and sugar. To add to it does not have the nasties like SLS and paraben. The actual toothpaste is pleasing to taste and quite mild its great for people who have chemical sensitive teeth. I felt it was easy to use but in saying that it is a whitening tooth paste so does make a mess. Try to use the handheld manual brush as opposed to an electric brush and try and stay as close to the sink with a tissue in hand to avoid trips and dribbles. I used it twice a day and have started to see the difference in how my teeth look or course in saying that for a visible difference by others it will take time and also depending on how stained your teeth are. One thing I would definitely add is that it did not cause sensitivity to my teeth after using this toothpaste. In the past I have used other brands in after a few days of using I could feel that my teeth were getting a bit sensitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lianatriesmakeup from A great natural toothpaste Personally I only use more natural toothpastes similar to this one as of about a year ago after I found out how many nasty ingredients are in the regular popular ones on the market. I picked this one up in my recent BH rewards room order to try and am actually really impressed especially at the price!! The ones I had been using prior were much more costly and were free from the same sorta nasties. The addition of charcoal is great. I haven't noticed any whitening just yet from the short time I have been using it, but I'm sure extended use will make a larger impact. Although the lack of flavour and black appearance isn't the most pleasant experience if you're used to mint, I find it much better to use this knowing I'm not putting garbage chemicals in my mouth.

For one thing it's from an Australian brand using good quality ethical ingredients like orbital, bamboo charcoal, silica and calcium carbonate to clean and whiten. The ingredient list is about as good as it gets. It's free from a lot of the nasty stuff you find in commercial brands like Triclosan (why is this still in many toothpastes?!), SLS, and a range of parabens. The toothpaste has a very milk pleasant, minimal taste and it feels good in the mouth. The packaging is all recyclable and the black tube is easy to use and works well to clean and whiten the teeth. The one downside of this (and any charcoal product) is that it's black and quite messy. I use an electric toothbrush and this one basically gets all over the sink leaving it black . On the upside my sink gets a solid clean every day since I have to clean off all of the black spots - I'm not sure I'd see a white toothpaste so clearly or clean after myself so thoroughly. I don't think it would be an issue with a manual toothbrush but my electric one is very powerful and boy does it spray. Still, this is a very good choice for those who want to either avoid a fluoride toothpaste or, like me, only use fluoride once a day and use a fluoride-free toothbrush at other times (I brush 3x a day - I'm a bit obsessive and don't want that much fluoride in my mouth).
