How to prepare
1. Always wash and dry hands before preparing formula. Wash bottles, teats and caps. 2. After washing, sterilise by boiling for 5 minutes. Keep bottles capped until use. 3. Boil fresh drinking water for 5 minutes. Allow boiled water to cool to lukewarm. Consult Feeding Guide for quantities of water and formula. 4. Prepare each bottle individually. Pour in required amount of lukewarm water. 5. Fill the scoop with Alula S-26 Gold Newborn and level off on the side of the can. Only the enclosed scoop should be used. Always add 1 scoop (8.5g) per 60mL water. 6. Cap bottle and shake. Test temperature on wrist before feeding. Formula left in the bottle after a feed must be discarded.
Feeding Guide Baby's Age 0-2 Weeks Pre-boiled Water (mL) 60 Level scoops of powder 1 Suggested feeds per day 7-9 Baby's Age 2 Weeks - 3 Months Pre-boiled Water (mL) 120 Level scoops of powder 2 Suggested feeds per day 6 Baby's Age 3 - 6 Months Pre-boiled Water (mL) 180 Level scoops of powder 3 Suggested feeds per day 5 Your baby may need more or less than indicated. Ideally, formula should be prepared just prior to feeding. Otherwise, refrigerate prepared formula and use within 24 hours. From 6 months, infants should be offered solid food in addition to this formula. - Use contents of can within 4 weeks of opening. - 'Use By' date and Batch Code see base of can.
Store can in a cool, dry place (e.g. pantry). - Avoid prolonged storage at excessive temperatures.
Milk solids, vegetable oils (including esterified and soybean), long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids from single-cell sources (arachidonic acid [AA], docosahexaenoic acid [DNA] contain milk), emulsifier (soy lecithin), L-cysteine, L-leucine, choline, L-phenylalanine, L-histidine, L-valine, taurine, inositol, nucleotides (cytidine-5'-monophosphate, disodium uridine-5'- monophosphate, adenosine-5'-monophosphate, disodium inosine-5'-monophosphate, disodium guanosine-5'- monophosphate), antioxidants (mixed tocopherols concentrate, ascorbyl palmitate), L-carnitine, lutein. Minerals: Potassium, chloride, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, iodine, manganese, selenium. Vitamins: Vitamin C, vitamin Al niacin, vitamin D, pantothenic acid, vitamin E, biotin, vitamin B12, vitamin B1, vitamin K, folic acid, vitamin B2, vitamin B6.
Contains milk and soy.
Follow instructions exactly. Prepare bottles and teats as directed. Do not change proportions of powder except on medical advice. Incorrect preparation can make your baby very ill. - Do not use if seal is broken.
Breast milk is best for babies. Before you decide to use this product, consult your doctor or health worker for advice. - Always replace plastic lid after use. - Fill is by weight, not volume. - Some settling of the powder may occur.

Really good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We usually use a soy based s26 formula due to my baby have some mild lactose issues however my partner accidentally brought this so I thought I'd slowly introduce it into bubs diet and see how he goes.
He took to it really well and I was surprised that he had no issues with it at all. The only thing I wish they'd change is the scoop it's hard to level the formula out with the design of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a brand I use to have as a baby so tried it on my kid. He was alright with the taste but because he had seborrheic dermatitis before that.. and was already on treatment we were just more careful with his formula. When treatment was ongoing and his skin condition didn;t get better we stopped..thinking it might be due to the milk but we can never confirm if it was because of the milk or just his diagnosis.

for the first 4 weeks or so was perfect for bubs but then he began to get lots of wind and be up all night crying and started getting constipated - after persisting for a couple more weeks we chose to change formula as he wasnt improving

Fantastic!

The consistency of the formula itself is easier to scoop and deal with. I feel like there’s less clumps as the formula dissolves so quickly. Other formulas we’ve tried has also caused digestive issues for my baby and this is the first one that has evened everything out. He no longer screams in pain due to wind or being constipated.

It’s slightly better that the normal s26 formula slightly higher in price we have found. We are happy with it and would definitely recommend this product for new borns

Meets my baby's needs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was recommended to me by my pediatrician and is also widely used at Epworth Freemasons. I used it as a supplement and top up in addition to my baby's breastfeeds. My baby seemed to be happy and taking well to the product. Only issue is that, the tin of formula milk has to be discarded 4 weeks after opening. It tastes terrible when i tried to have it as I did not have the formula milk to go to waste.

Gassy baby
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first formula we tried to supplement breastmilk and it made bub super gassy, and we would have to spend a lot of time trying to burp him after every feed. It is also quite expensive compared to some of the other brands and since it didn't seem to be any better, we switched straight after the first can and haven't had many problems since.

Didn’t suit my little one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this when my little one was 2 weeks old and I had a drop in breast milk supply but unfortunately it didn’t work well with her tummy. She had a lot of trapped wind and appeared to be in a lot of pain after each feed. This also contributed to her being constipated. I changed to the S26 Gold DelicateEze which worked so much better. Love the S26 range and how long it has been around in Australia (my mum actually used it with me 31 years ago)

Great product

Initially we had a few hiccups with him having a bit of colic and also a bit of constipation. We ended up trying another product but switched back after a day after seeing him in much more pain. Hard on tummies

I only used this formula based on recommendation from the hospital and I personally would not use it again. Yes every baby is different but my baby took days and days to poo which caused a lot of discomfort.

Didn't have the best experience

We found it to be very thick and it didn't sit well in the baby's stomach. He actually ended up throwing up a number of times, which caused us to switch to a gentler brand.

Great formula

It is made in New Zealand, the scooper is nice and easy to use and to scoop out the formula powder to make up bub's bottles for his feeds. It has a nice consistency. The price is in line with other formula brands.

It's a very popular brand and was recommended to me by my mum. I found it sometimes had lumps if rushing to feed a very hungry bub and don't shake it well enough other than that it's a great formula and comes in travel packets too!

Worked well at the start
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately I had problems breastfeeding so after reading reviews on formula I bought S26 Gold for my newborn. He was fine on it for the first 3 months and then started to become extremely constipated and he was constantly uncomfortable, after speaking to my maternal health nurse we decided to change formulas. Every baby is different and this may work for some but it didn't work with my baby.

My little one was gassy and bloated all night from this. It could have just been that his stomach was still adjusting to the formula however it did make him vomit all night long. Not for me.

Great Formula

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually I use s26 original but my partner got this once by accident and although bubs didn't taste the difference and she guzzled it down. The formula did tend to give her some constipation though. It is very easy to find at most stores and isn't one that is sold out often.. however it is more expensive than the original.

We continued this brand at home and was good to go hand in hand with breast milk. We did notice that my boy had extra wind whenever we gave him to formula, not sure if that's just a formula thing? Agreed with babies tummy

It did not leave him constipated like other brands had. Easy to follow instructions. He loves it. We have even followed on to the 6-12 month progress version in s26 because it’s worked perfectly for our son and had no issues like we did when using alternative brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this formula as having issues with breastmilk supply and baby not gaining weight. Baby took to the formula straight away. She is now putting on the required amount of weight and then some. Does not upset her stomach. My second baby had trouble with this formula due to bad reflux. Not the cheapest formula around, but also not the most expensive. Has a handy lip to help level the scoop out. Overall I would recommend this formula.
