Directions For Use

Ensure face is clean, dry and free from any product.
Massage Bondi Sands Pure Self Tanning Sleep Mask evenly over face and neck, avoiding eyes.
Wash hands thoroughly after use. Do not apply any other skincare products until colour has developed. For best results, leave on skin overnight. Re-apply as desired.

This product has a very VERY pungent smell when applying, and if left undisturbed for 8 hours, well, you're an orange. This tan has no blue tones at all, and if you miss a spot due to it's clear application, its very obvious. To mitigate the colour of this I mix it with some of my moisturiser, which ends up looking normal and better. This is a good product however, and I use it when my tan scrubs off my face just to add a bit more, but it is very dark.

I'm too fair to tan my face without doing my entire body, so I used it on my ghostly pale legs. I showered then applied the white cream a few hours before bed as I was worried about sheet transfer. As I rubbed a light layer into my skin, I found the fake tan scent quite potent & hard to tolerate: the odour persisted for hours & made it hard to fall asleep. In the morning, my legs had developed an impressively natural-looking tan with no lingering fake tan aroma. Although I loved the results, I won't reuse this self-tanning mask due to the smell. Rated 4 out of 5 by Elunia from Need a pale option I received the Bondi Sands Pure Self-Tanning Sleep Mask as a bonus to my Rewards Room purchases from BH. This mask comes in a soft plastic tube which sits on its head so that product is easy to dispense. This product appears white in colour and only has a slight scent to it. I am not that trusting of tanning products and since I have white bed sheets I was not willing to apply this cream and sleep on it as I always sleep with my cheek resting against a pillow whilst sleeping on my stomach. I applied a small amount of this cream and let is develop for 4 hours before checking the result and for me I would say that there was a drastic change in my skin colour and it was much darker than what I expected. Noting that I am pale and many makeup brands name the shade I use as 'pale ivory'. The colour did look even on the main part of my face but unfortunately there was an issue with more colour gripping to my hair line then disappearing to pale skin again which is not a fantastic look but that could be an issue with me and not the product, therefore more practise should help resolve that. Overall this is an easy to use product and I do recommend it but the colour is too dark for my needs and it seems that this product is for 'all skin tones' but I would need a 'pale' option. Rated 4 out of 5 by Fiona C. from Overnight results This is a self-tanning product for the face. It is a very light lotion with no fragrance. It isn't just a tanning product though - Bondi Sands have put in some nice ingredients like cocoa butter, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, pure Vitamin C, Vitamin E. As you are supposed to not use other skincare when you're using this product, it is good that they have also packed in some actives. Application-wise, it didn't irritate my skin and felt hydrating. I love that it is fragrance-free. It does apply clear on the skin so you need to keep track of where you've been and ensure that you've covered your face area avoiding the eyes. I was very surprised that this product worked overnight. I was expecting any visible difference to take multiple applications but no. It imparts a very natural colour that isn't orangey. My only issue is that I have to drop my usual PM routine when I'm using this. But then again it works so quickly that you can alternate.

This is a self-tanning product for the face that is to be left on overnight. It is a very light lotion with no fragrance. I like the fact that the ingredients list has goodies like cocoa butter, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, pure Vitamin C, Vitamin E. It didn't irritate my skin and felt hydrating. The instructions say to "Ensure face is clean, dry and free from any product" before application and "Do not apply any other skincare products until colour has developed" - in other words - this one product will replace everything apart from your cleanser from your evening routine. Since the product looks clear on your skin, you do have to keep track of where you have already applied the product and ensure that it has been applied to your whole face and neck (except the eyes). I'm not really into tanning especially for my face, so I only tried this for one evening. It does impart a very natural colour the next day which was impressive. Much safer and easier than exposing your face to the sun and harmful UVA/UVB rays in order to achieve a tan! Even though I wouldn't use this product myself, I'm still giving it 4 stars because it has good ingredients, is fragrance-free and achieves results!

I decided to sample this tanning product on my tummy. Well, I'm happy I did that first. The colour is way too dark for my skin. While it is even and long lasting, I also like that it didn't stain my clothes. Good product, unfortunately not the right shade for me, my skin is quite fair. I might mix it with my regular moisturizer and use it onto my legs ( easy to cover if anything goes bad), but not on my face.

Rated 4 out of 5 by clearcrystalwater from Not Great For Me, Could Work For Some I received this from the Rewards Room November 2021 in a cute mini tube - great for travelling or trying out by the way! I found this to give a glow by the morning but during the night I did get a mild whiff of that 'fake tanning scent' that reminds me of the old pioneering fake tanners from back in the eighties. Anyhow, good thing it's a night mask because you can mostly sleep through it. I did find that I needed to apply this two consecutive nights to get the even colour that I'd want on my face. For me it was easy to miss a patch somehow even on such a small area as my face. Using it two nights in a row helps eliminate any patch missed from the first nights use. I generally have an oily face skin so I don't think this helped the product to stay even during the night and being a mask I think it had it's own emollients to nourish my skin during the night but that combined with a fake tanner feature made it easy for this mask to move off/around my face a bit during the night especially because I'm an active sleeper and toss and turn a lot. Plus I like to sleep on my tummy a lot and face-plant and I don't think that helped the patchiness! Anyhow, two nights in a row of this helps to removed any patchiness. Be ready for an extra extra glow though because of the double application. Face glows in the morning and I do find that it gripped more to the edges of my hairline than the oilier parts of my face. So this could be ideal for normal skin rather than oily skins? Personally I've had more luck with just using a body tanner over night sparingly applied to my face. This didn't work so well for me and I found make-up a must in the morning to hide the uneven patchiness. Mmm maybe I should be giving this a three stars instead of a four because for me it wasn't so great. I suppose I'll give it a four because it might work well for some people - and it obviously does by the look of the ratings that it has got from some people. I tend to be a little forgiving in my ratings because I know it's not just all about me. If it was just about me, I'd probably give it a two or three. Just say'n.

I have used self tanning products before but never for my face. This is the first time I've seen a tanning and skincare product in one and I liked how creative it was. I applied the sleep mask at night after cleansing my face. I applied it all over using a small amount and it felt hydrating on my skin and it absorbed fairly well too. By the next morning my skin looked slightly more tan. I wasn't expecting to see such quick results right away but it actually worked! I also like that the product contains vitamin C and hyaluronic acid so it's like a two in one, tanning product and skincare. The tan is also subtle and won't give off that fake look.
