Vicks VapoRub Chest Rub and Vapourising Ointment relieve 4 cough & cold symptoms; cough, blocked nose, muscular aches & pains.
Active ingredients in Vicks VapoRub work in two ways:
- By Inhalation - Medicinal vapours help relieve nasal congestion.;
- By Stimulation – Rub in. VapoRub Acts directly on the skin, warming away muscular aches and pains
Relieves: Cough, Nasal congestion, Body ache, Headache, and Muscle stiffness
Provides up to 8 hours of relief from cold symptoms
Suitable for adults and children above 2 years old

- For temporary relief of nasal congestion and coughs associated with colds. Use on chest and throat.
- Rub on thick layer at night and/or morning. Keep clothing loose to let the vapours rise to the nose and mouth. May be covered with a dry, soft cloth if desired.
Steaming Application Method:
- Part fill a bowl with steaming water (not boiling) and add 2 teaspoonfuls of VapoRub.
- Then gently inhale the steaming vapours with a towel over your head and bowl.
- Children should be closely supervised to avoid scalding.
- May be repeated up to four times a day.
- Discard bowl contents after use.
- For temporary relief of minor muscular aches and pains. Use on sore muscles.
- Rub into skin up to four times a day or as directed by a doctor.
- Store below 30°C.
Menthol 2.82% w/w, Camphor 5.26% w/w, Eucalyptus Oil 1.33% w/w
Contains: Turpentine Oil, Cedar Leaf Oil, Nutmeg Oil, and Thymol in a petrolatum base
Do not heat directly or place in any container in which you are heating water. Never expose VapoRub to flame or use in a microwave oven. Such improper use may cause harm/burns. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical assistance or contact a poison information centre immediately. Use care when using with hot/steaming water (not boiling) to avoid scalding.
Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Use only as directed. If fever is present or symptoms persist, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not take by mouth or place in nostrils. Not to be used on children under 2 years of age unless directed by a physician. Discontinue use if irritation develops. Do not apply to wounds or damaged skin. Do not bandage tightly or use with heating pads.

What’s happened to Vick that we used to buy… the last one I bought had hardly any smell it’s as if it’s been watered down

Poor quality
I thought that we had purchased a child's rub but that was not the case. I can remember when in the old days this was a very good product but the new one is very docile and does not have the same quality.

Easy applicator
I just love the new easy applicator. Whoever came up with the idea should get a pay rise. Thank you for making this product so much easier to use. I remember my Mother rubbing Vicks on my chest and back and also putting it in a bowl of hot water and having us kids breathe it in with a towel over our heads to clear our noses and chests. You are always my number one go to.

Great for congestion
I always have a pack of Vicks VapoRub around the house as it quickly and effectively helps reduce sinus congestion. The ointment absorbs well to give instant relief from nasal congestion. It’s great value and lasts well, and is definitely a must have in our home during the cold and flu season.

Not strong enough
I recently purchased some Vicks vapour rub and was disappointed to find the formula is much weaker than it used to be. It didn’t work for me so I purchased a home brand version that was cheaper, stronger and much more effective. Disappointing.

I have been using Vapor y for many years now. This is absolutely fantastic for when you’re sick with a stuffy nose. Either rub a bit on your chest or put a bit in a pot with water and breathe in the fumes. Lasts for ages and has never let me down

Must have product.
Vicks is a must have product for every household.
I use it to ease cold and flu symptoms, clear my sinuses and treat aches and pains.
I love the smell and the tingly burn you get when you apply it under your nose, on your chest or even on the soles of your feet.
This is for sure my go to product during winter and I find using Vicks means I generally don't need cold/flu tablets which can only be a good thing.

Life saving properties
During a recent dose of Covid 19, I suffered greatly.

Staple household item
This is a staple household item, our parents had it in their cupboards and then so do we and so on. This product is designed and succeeds in making breathing easier and for an asthmatic its even better cause no one wants to be on extra asthma medication when they get a cold. I dont need to recommend this because every house has it.

Great for colds
I always keep this in the cupboard as it is great for cold. The whole family can use it. I run it on my back, chest and feet. If you run it on your feet before bed and put socks on it does wonders. Love this product, have used it for years

Feels lovely and acts with power
Although this does look like Vaseline and spread like it too, this ointment packs a real punch, clearing your nose and bring tears to your eyes within about 30 seconds. I recommend only putting it on your chest Anzac.

A staple in the medicine cabinet
We have always purchased and keep on hand. Rub on chest and back when unwell. Pop on a tissue or hankie to help clear a stuffed nose. Have also used in warm water in a bowl and towel over the head to help clear nasal congestion.
