Inferior to the old shampoo.
The old formula in the 500ml bottle was a completely different and superior product to this junk.
This shampoo is a chemical cocktail that comes out in a clag like blob.
No essential oils and the lack of ingredients from botanical sources, combined in a 350ml bottle, confirms that this Akin product is no longer for me.

The new formulas are awful and went in the bin!
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO RUIN A PREVIOUSLY FABULOUS PRODUCT??? I have used Akin shampoos and conditioners for many years and loved them BUT the new formulas are awful - they are too fragranced, don't feel the same on my hair and made my scalp dry and itchy. They went in the rubbish and I will not buy your products again until you return to the previous formulas.

The fragrance is synthetic now!!!
I have been using A’kin for last 10 years. The new formula I have noticed the fragrance has changed to synthetic and it’s very disappointing seeing you chose akin due to its natural fragrance from essential oils. I am disappointed as a long time customer. I really hope you can bring the old fragrance back.

Maximum Bounce
I am always looking out for products that help with volume on my thin limp hair. I was lucky enough to be given the chance to try out both A'kins Volume Boost Shampoo and Conditioner and i can tell you right now that i am so happy with this product.
I have used this product for about 4 weeks now and my thin lifeless hair has more volume and shine than it has in a long time. After just one use, my hair looked thicker and fuller with a lot more life and shine.
It also cleansed my hair really well without weighing it down. After my hair dried it was bouncy, flowy and had a nice shine to it. It made my hair look so much healthier as well. I absolutely love the smell of this shampoo, its brings back memories of going to the beach with my friends.
This volume boost shampoo is great for anyone with limp, flat, thin hair like me! Totally Recommend.

As a user of Akin hair products for many, many years, I love the quality and honesty of the product, but am super disappointed by the new packaging and the fragrances that have been introduced. The product no longer stands out on the shelf and is hard to find amongst all other product offerings. It is no longer a product a product that can be easily used by children. The new packaging doesn't fit in a smaller hand and the absence of the pump means that a measured dose for a child is no longer possible. Finally the fragrances. I cook with coconut oil; it doesn't smell of anything, so why is there a distinctive smell of "coconut" in the shampoo? Akin has traditionally stood for natural scents, not complicated "on-trend" ingredient listings and certainly not inclusion of obvious artificial scents.

Volume Plus
The A’Kin Volume Boost Shampoo is a must for adding lift to your hair. When I first used this shampoo, I noticed it wasn’t lathering up well, so I washed my hair again and it lathered afterward. After that, I used a reasonable amount of the Volume Boost Conditioner to follow up. After rinsing, I used my powerful hairdryer to blow it out. Even though my hairdryer tends to give me volume, I could see a very noticeable difference using this product. As a side note, my hair is very thick and long, so it weighs down a lot and as a result is generally very flat on the crown of my head. When I used this product, it was so voluminous I could even see my scalp because my hair was extraordinarily lifted. I haven’t used a product that could boost so much in volume! Another point that I like is the tall thin cylindrical packaging that fits perfectly at the top of my shower. I received this product from A'Kin to review.
