Rated 4 out of 5 by jenifey from Effective and great value I have tried a few different retinol/retinoid products, and Boost Lab's Night Retinol Renewal Serum is definitely one of the better ones. The serum goes on nicely with no stinging or irritation, feels light and is quickly absorbed into the skin, and there was a noticeable improvement in fine lines in just a few weeks. While it looks like yellow slime and doesn't have a pleasant smell (on the plus side, this would suit those who can't tolerate overly perfumed products), it is well worth it for effectiveness.

Total rejuvenation, Plumps & firms, Intensely hydrates, the Retinol Night Serum works perfectly to recharge your skin while sleeping. Follow directions on the box, cleansing your face and decolletage applying a few drops of this pale white formula it doesn't have any discernible smell at all. After applying this Serum I prefer to let my Skin rest for at least 15 minutes, before adding a Night Moisturising Cream then I finish off with a Gua Sha to massage around my Neck, Decolletage, my eyes and forehead after the Gua Sha I use a Rose Quartz Roller it does make my Skin feel really good before going to bed. This Serum has stabilised Retinol which helps to reduce skin damage, accelerated aging from UV and infrared radiation can cause dry skin, wrinkles, loss of firmness, uneven skin tone. Sea Fennel Oil ( Retinol of the Sea) which works to correct wrinkles and smooths the skin's texture. Organic Aloe Vera for hydration and helps to soothe irritated skin as well. Would Highly recommend Boost Lab Retinol Night Renewal Serum it will help to maintain a younger healthy looking skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Diana F. from Custard like serum I bought this 30 millilitres bottle of serum from Big W. At under thirty dollars, it is a bargain. I like the yellow custard like consistency of this nighttime serum. I use around four drops per time. One for the forehead, one for each cheek and the final one for the neck. The glass dropper makes for an easy, mess free application onto my face and neck. I cleanse my face before and then apply my nighttime serum. As this is an easily absorbed serum, I can apply a thicker nighttime moisturiser to my face and décolletage.

This is Boost Lab's anti-aging night time serum that contains 2% granactive retinoid and an undisclosed amount of pure retinol. It is housed in a glass bottle with a dropper with minimalist packaging. This serum is water-based, featuring a non-irritating but effective retinoid (granactive retinoid or Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate). It is a milky yellow emulsion and has the typical retinol smell, which I don't mind. The water-based texture is comfortable and absorbs quickly on my combination skin. There is zero irritation and addition of glycerin makes the formula hydrating as well. As I have been using stronger retinols for quite a while, I didn't see visible improvements as such, but use this in between my stronger 1% retinol days, since I can't apply the stronger retinol nightly without irritation. The formula is very similar to another granactive retinoid emulsion from a leading brand, but Boost Lab is more expensive. I would recommend it to retinol beginners since granactive retinoid has low to no irritation and the formula does have a decent amount of it to be effective.

This retinol serum is water-based, featuring a non-irritating but effective retinoid (granactive retinoid or Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate). It is a milky yellow emulsion and has the typical retinol smell, which I don't mind. The water-based texture is comfortable and absorbs quickly on my combination skin. There is zero irritation addition of glycerin makes it hydrating as well. I generally prefer this water-based texture as opposed to oil formulas. Some additional goodies in the formula are aloe vera, bisabolol and vitamin E. As I have been using stronger retinols for quite a while, I didn't see visible improvements as such, but use this in between my stronger 1% retinol days, since I can't apply the stronger retinol nightly without irritation. This product is very similar in formula and texture to The Ordinary's Granactive Retinoid 2% emulsion (not to be confused with the squalane version) and The Ordinary's product was released years before Boost Lab was launched. The Ordinary's formula has tasmannial lanceolata extract instead of aloe vera. In terms of texture, I like them both. However, Boost Lab's offering is 30ml for $29.95. whereas The Ordinary is 30ml for $17.90. I feel that Boost Lab could've done more to their formula to not be almost the same as The Ordinary's. At the moment I see no reason to choose Boost Lab's version over The Ordinary's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa H. from Fantastic Serum This was the first Retinol serum I started to use as I liked that it contained both Retinol and Granactive Retinol plus it was affordable. The consistency is watery and very light weight and it smooths over and absorbs nicely into my skin, I would only use a couple of drops each night as I found a little goes a long way. I found the serum to be quite soothing on my face plus having it kept in the fridge it was not only soothing but nice and cool aswell. Within the second month of using I did notice that my face started to break out with pimples which were popping up in places I wouldn't normally get them this continued on for about 2 to 3 weeks before my skin went back to normal. It wasn't until about the 4th month that I started to see some changes on my face, I noticed my complexion was looking so much brighter, clearer and firmer then by roughly the 6th or 7th month I had noticed that overall my face was just looking more youthful. My skin was alive again so to speak, there was a definite improvement with the fine lines around my eyes and above my top lip to the point some had seemed to vanish altogether. I could not recommend this serum enough as for me it has made a huge difference to my skin overall

Boost Lab Retinol Night Renewal Serum, my first retinol specific serum - I picked this up in a Rewards Room bundle and must have put it away. I love that Boost Lab is Australian owned with its products made in Australia or NZ. And the products are free from Parabens, Sulphates, Fragrances and are Cruelty-Free. The Retinol Night Renewal Serum active ingredients include, not in any particular order -Retinol, Granactive Retinoid 2%, Bisabobol (naturally found for EG in German Chamomile) and Aloe Vera Juice. The frosted glass bottle contains the yellow-green thickish serum which is dispensed with a dropper. The purple label boasts that the serum is for signs of ageing, that it 'de-wrinkles & firms, hydrates & illuminates' and helps 'recover & maintain younger, healthy looking skin'. As with any retinols, it recommends patch testing before using the Retinol Serum (and avoiding eye area). The Serum itself is not perfumed, and there is a slight medicinal scent, if anything. Even though I have sensitive, dry, mature skin I have been using acids, serums and some retinol for a while. So far there has been no tingling or irritation with the Boost Lab Retinal Night Renewal Serum. I follow the instructions of 1. Cleanse as usual, 2. Apply a few drops of the Serum, 3. Apply your favourite treatments and moisturisers. The Night Renewal Serum spreads and taps in easily. There is a slight tackiness so I wait until it absorbs before moving onto the next treatment or night moisturiser. It will probably take a few more weeks to notice an effect on deeper wrinkles or firming. But I do feel that my skin is hydrated and glowing.

It's a very lightweight watery serum that glides smoothly onto your skin and is fast absorbing. It never irritated my skin in anyway at all and I had no problems with purging. I actually found the serum to be quite hydrating and soothing on my face. It was only about a month ago that I actually starting seeing a difference with my complexion as my skin was looking much brighter and not so fatigued, I have also noticed the little wrinkles around my mouth and around my eyes aren't as noticeable, there appearance has definitely faded. The serum lasts a while as you only need to use a little amount, I use it in my night time routine after cleansing and toning. I would definitely recommend this Retinol serum as I found it wasn't to harsh or irritating and with patience and consistent use it will show you results.
