No peppermint!Glad I tried this toothpaste. The first toothpaste that doesn’t give me ulcers. No peppermint ! It is very mild and gentle in taste but works a treat ! The taste is fresh pear. Perfect for anyone with salicylate intolerance or who can’t tolerate peppermint.

Smells nice!Bought this from the Rewards Room out of curiosity.
The first thing I noticed was the cute green squeezy tube and the delicious smell, like pears and apples!
The second thing I noticed was that it does not foam as much as a regular toothpaste, so that took a bit of getting used to. It still does it's job though and my teeth felt squeaky clean.
Don't expect a minty-fresh breath though, more like pear fresh. The upside to this is that you can actually taste your morning coffee without being grossed out by that minty taste still lingering on your tongue.
This toothpaste is Aussie made and has not artificial colours, flavours, chemicals, parabens and all that other bad stuff. It's a natural and allergy free toothpaste!

Great productI have been using this toothpaste for a few months now. I have to avoid many chemicals now especially mint. My gums feel better than they have in years and I think it cleans my teeth better than normal toothpaste. The charcoal whitening one is also good.

great natural toothpastethe pear flavour was subtle and light, with no chemicals and allergy free, plus free of gluten, parabens etc.. I will buy again when I see it, needs to be at Priceline or a chemist, not just online. It's good to see an Australian made product and the Alfree name suits the brand and green packaging colours.

Fluoride free toothpasteI bought this in the Rewards Room along with the toothpaste as I had a few spare points and was interested to give it a try. It’s an Australian company that doesn’t test on animals and is aimed at providing products for those who want to lower their environmental footprint or have chemical sensitivities. I don’t have any sensitivities luckily.
The toothpaste has a definite pear smell and, to a lesser degree, taste which is nice, especially if you don’t like the mint taste of most toothpastes. It isn’t as white as my usual product and is a much coarser looking paste, I found that if I wasn’t careful it would wash off the brush when I added water! It doesn’t contain a lot of the usual ingredients and as a result I found there was less frothing in my mouth, it felt quite watery which I wasn’t that keen on. It might be this is just a case of not being used to it. I also felt my teeth didn’t feel as clean but this may be because I didn’t have that ‘minty’ taste.
As I don’t have any ingredients I want to avoid I actually prefer to have fluoride in my toothpaste and it is certainly recommended by most dentists. However, I can understand that some people don’t want it so this is a good alternative. There isn’t a place for this in my routine but I will still recommend it because it does fill a need that some people have

Pear toothpasteThis toothpaste is definitely different to the other toothpastes I have ever used.
The flavour of pear is very subtle and it does taste a little sweet so this is confusing for me since I have always used mint or peppermint flavoured toothpaste.
After brushing, my teeth doesn’t really feel clean which isn’t really great.
The tube isn’t easy to squeeze out once you get to the middle of the tube, it should be better to squeeze out and easier to squeeze out.
It is different and I suppose I haven’t adjusted just yet, hopefully will in another month.

A refreshing changeI picked this up in the second Rewards Room of 2021 mostly for curiosity’s sake, but it won me over very quickly.
It does smell intensely pear-like when you open the tube, and I thought this might be overbearing, but once you put a small amount on the brush the scent is much milder.
The texture is interesting. It’ not like your ol’ Colgate paste, it’s much denser and looks slightly grainy (although it doesn’t feel it in your mouth). It’s a nice, natural-looking, pale cream colour, which is most definitely a welcome change to fake bright white.
I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of taste so braced myself for it to be very sweet, but was pleasantly surprised – there’s barely any taste at all. What’s more, you can eat/drink immediately and the flavour won’t be affected (no more cringing when drinking OJ after cleaning teeth).
It has a minimal frothing factor, so be prepared for that. But it does as good a job (maybe even better) than commercial toothpastes with all the added unnatural stuff.
Definitely a winner.
